I’m 23 years old so I never got to see guys like Jordan win, but I wouldn’t trade the Brady era for any other era. This is the greatest era in sports history and I’m thrilled I’ll be able to tell my kids someday that I saw him play in his prime. Brady will play to 50 years old and win 10 Super Bowls. I’d never bet against that. He’s a freak anomaly that won’t ever be seen again

As a pats fan, Thats what I said along time ago, I really think it still stings from not being able to win three in a row, and even teddy bruschi mentioned 3 peat in that brady6 documentary, and it still stings from coming real close to a perfect season, and to have yanked right out from under him and in the fashion it was yanked out, that's fuel for the fire that won't be extinguished until those 2 things are met.

But talking about Rodgers being a lock for 1st ballot HoF I have to disagree with. Don't get me wrong Rodgers is one of the best Qb's in the regular season... But post season he has a horrible track record. The past 10 years Rodgers has been statistically the worst Qb during the post season(in total not percentages). Of course regular season play is important but in my opinion post season and playoff play is more important and crucial to judging a players performance b/c in post season you are playing against the best in the league, not just the same teams in your division over and over and over year after year and in those high pressure moments against the best of the best Rodgers has fallen short. I would vote Edelman before I would Rodgers.

There's a great 60 minutes interview with Tom when he had won 4 and the interviewer asked him about his draft day. Tom's hurt showed in his eyes, he's so bitter over his draft day drop and being told he "can't" that it provides this almost supernatural fuel for him to keep winning and keep playing. He's fighting a ghost he can't ever beat.

That’s what I’ve been saying... he is a delight to watch that’s for sure.. but all these people saying “oh he is the only one who could catch up to Brady”... man he is lucky if he makes it to 10 years in the NFL without having to drastically change his play style... look at a Russell Wilson for example, he has been hit so much before that you won’t see him running around like he used to anymore... Brady is an anomaly and only if a QB is willing to take as much care for himself and put in that much effort will they ever be anywhere close to having at least a small chance of doing what Brady has done

Brady already has more total passing yards than Brees. For Gods sake I hate how some people only include regular season numbers when talking about ..... TOTAL. Brady is over 90,000 yards, more than 5,000 more than Brees. Brady has 3,000+ passing yards just in Superbowl's alone. Brady has had 3 seasons of regular season passing yard totals just in the playoffs. Brady only has 5 fewer rushing TD's than Vick, the most athletic QB ever, and Brady legitimately has a real chance to have more rushing TD's than Vick..... Would anybody have thought that in 2001??

I would comp Jones to Matt Ryan as much as I would Brady. I like all three QBs a lot, all three aren't very fast but display movement ability within the pocket, ability to avoid the rush either by shifting within the pocket or by having such a quick release it doesn't matter so much. They're all three very accurate. I think Jones can be a big success, I think his season and numbers speak for themselves, yeah, he had great players, but football is a team sport, watch those games, Jones is dropping pinpoint accurate passes into the laps of his elite WRs. He knows where they'll be and he gets them the ball in the perfect spot for them to keep their momentum and get YAC. That's how Brady has been so successful, especially later in his Pats career. Julian Edelman had a lot of YAC b/c TB could get him the ball in the perfect spot. Likewise though, Edelman could be relied to come down with insane catches and take super hard hits, not disparaging him at all. My point is, accuracy matters in the nfl, and if you're an excellent pocket passer you can still be great in this league. I'm hoping for Jones to the Pats, but I'd happy with any of the top 5 frankly at 15, I'd also be happy with Lance or Fields, but I have a hard time saying I'd prefer either to Jones.

Don’t ever compare Pat Mahomes to Tom Brady. Pat takes all the money he can get and has his mommy contact Bradys wife and complain about the Refs. as reason sonny boy lost the SB. Tom takes less money so his team can get better players and he wins and beats all the best QBs in the NFL. He never complains, like Patty, and is a gracious looser. Pat is neither.

I feel like the next Tom Brady simply cannot be a top 10 or even first 2 rounds draft pick. Obviously, this is just my guess, but 1st round draft picks probably get some validation as their names are called. I'd imagine Brady did not get that and it added gasoline to the fire of an already hyper-competitive person (which most professional athletes are). I'd imagine it's like the kid who got bullied in school then became a fuckin stud. He's a product of a harshly competitive environment where there is always someone else who is faster and stronger, not intelligent drafting.

Mahomes is going to be knocked out of the sport if he isn't protected more but the thing is he runs around and his style of play just automatically makes him a target much more than Brady ever was. the way he was folded in half in the SB shows you what happens if he is hit one to many times and in one to many places. not wishing for him to be that damaged but you have to open your eyes. mahomes just won't have the longevity of Brady and that is why he will never ever come close.

Deflate gate was debunked years ago. Brady served a 4 game suspension for that BS and then went and beat the Legion of Boom in the SB which was I think Brady's best game of his career. Being down 10 points late in the 4th qtr against a all time defense and bringing the Pat's back to win SB 49. The largest comeback in SB history, being down 28 to 3 to the Falcons and Brady threw for 400 yds in the second half is a close second in top Brady performances...IMO anyway.
