A HIGH school cheerleader and football player have revealed the highs and lows of getting pregnant at 15. Olivia and Cole, both 17, from Iowa, started dating after being introduced by a friend when they were in sophomore year. Nine months later, the couple discovered Liv was pregnant, much to the shock of their parents and friends.

“Teen pregnancy doesn’t have to be negative” that’s your privilege talking. You’re both INCREDIBLY lucky to have not only emotional, but financial support from your parents. Please recognize that you’re in an ideal teen pregnancy situation, and that it IS a negative situation for so many.

I am completely against teen pregnancies but lets be fair they said ''doesnt have to be negative'' and not that ''it's not negative to many''. They know they are lucky but let's be serious: at age 15 EVERY CHILD should have a nice happy life with supportive well off parents in a nice house. And if they dont have that it is their PARENTS fault for not providing what a child needs and should not have kids that they cant afford taking good care off. The same goes to those teens.

Which is why it disturbs me they have a Tiktok, YT, and Insta and acting like all teen pregnancies are like this. Like nobody should be normalising 15 year olds having children because 99% of those kids don't got the financially well off parents supporting them.

Teen pregnancy should NEVER be glamorized. Some teens just don’t seem to understand that babies are a lot of work. Plus, when you become a parent, it’s not about you anymore. It’s about the baby. Teens should just enjoy their teen years because they will never get those years back. Plus, they should focus more on their futures. It’s definitely better to wait.

Difficult to find match around my age so that everyone I know got married or became single mom before turning 30. Some of them got married while I was still in college. Now, I gave up about dating. I love the support of the family. It is so important. It takes a village to raise kids and being mad or throwing your kids out doesn't change anything. At the end of the day it's your grandchild and your own child you would be throwing out and probably missing out on some really great times. I am glad to see both parents involved with thier baby and I wish them so much good things on their journey. I love how honest her parents were. Of course mom is there supporting and holding it together and dad is mad ...which is a complete natural and okay way to feel. We want our kids to enjoy being kids before being parents but once it's happened it's happened and we have to support. I hate to see a teen pregnancy cause I too want my child to enjoy that small amount of time they get to be a kid but I would fully support my child at times. I think also it was great that her mom admitted that she was totally clueless to her daughters sexual activities because to be really honest there are SOOOO many things our own parents didn't know we did and they thought we were angel's growing up lol best of luck on their journey!!

I guess parenting at any stage and age is hard, but she said it's so worth it. I am currently 24 and have a degree, working on my bachelor's degree now. My parents helped get me where I am and I am grateful for that. The life I am working for will be better!

@@shimmer4771 I am glad that you are able to see what your mother or parents went through and make informed decisions on what's best for your life. Parenting is tough at all stages. Yes it so worth it but I does change the course of life and what you can do because kids come first, they didn't ask to be here. Now in that same breath children do not take away from chasing dreams, it just at times can add more to the plate, especially if your doing it alone. But congrats on your road to a bachelor degree. I had a child at 22 and it changed my plans in life. But 10 years later I have completed my bachelor's degree in education. You can do it if you put your mind too it! The novelty will wear off as soon as they have to get a home of their own and financially support their family on their own. Until then they are not the success they portray themselves to be. They are simply still a teen couple who loves each other and had a baby. They haven’t “made” it or succeeded at anything yet. Well, the people in this video's comment section are clearly very jealous of the fact that they have wealthy supportive parents to help them raise their child. Yes, they are privileged. But it's not their fault. They were both lucky enough to be born into a comfortable life with loving, hard-working parents. They themselves are still kids, so of course they think their classmates are jealous of what they consider a fairytale romance and perfect family because they don't know any better. But the mother is correct. People that don't have or have never received the kind of support this couple gets from their parents are 100% jealous of them.

There’s plenty if not more hardworking unprivileged people, they just don’t have access to the same resources, opportunities, and advantages as privileged people. Privileged people often have generational wealth and inheritance and much of their wealth has often been acquired by less than humane and/or ethical means. Second, this entire comment just sounds apologist and apathetic to those who truly need it. Third, no, that’s a giant assumption and self-grandiose idea to think people are jealous. As for me, the thought of being in a relationship and subsequently doing the thing with a supposed partner as a teenager is definitely unbelievable on my part. At that age, it's best to enjoy teenage life to its ultimate fullest. By all means, having a child alone is a HUGE responsibility for life, and you can't even retire from being a parent...EVER. Anyways, that being said, I hope that this family prospers and will continue to be blessed. Sure, they have their own fair share of flaws and mistakes, but that doesn't necessarily mean they could never be good parents to their daughter. So, kids, it's best to live as kids for as long as it's necessary, because trust me, your childhood years are precious and you can never take it back once you've evolved into a full grown adult. Take it as an advice from me then.

They are very blessed to be born into a family that's financially capable of supporting them and their child, when you decide to be a teen parent and you are a lower/middle class citizen the financial burden you're bringing upon your parents is so severe that it's a whole different level of disappointment. Olivia's mom said she couldn't believe how other parents can't support their kids becoming parents at such a young age and I think she misses the point. Yes, the parents may be disappointed but like I mentioned earlier, they simply can't provide for another human let alone a baby that's why they're so mad at their children for being irresponsible and not thinking of the consequences (happens when you only think of yourself). Wishing these 2 the best of luck. Hopefully all works out.

The parents are great parents and the two teenagers are lucky to have them. If the parents were not supportive, they would be in a difficult situation.

The grandparents look so tired and sad. Maybe they r the ones taking care of the kid. I remember this high school couple having a baby at 15. They broke up at 18. The couple married other ppl and had more kids with other ppl. The kid that they had at 15 was neglected. The kid grew up and was miserable coz she had to b the older sibling with no full parental support compared to other the siblings. She went through depression and was a mess. But she never became a teen mom coz she realized that she couldn't inflict the same pain she went through. Such a difficult situation. So heartbreaking.

These are just my thoughts. So my opinion only. Im an old guy 57. But You know,...alot of times society is wrong! Bless these two. More power to them. I wish them all the very best in life. Why? cause I have a young friend, just like them. Close to the same age. This guy has shocked the world. The last guy you would ever think would be a good responsable dad,....and guess what? He is the most amazing dad! It changed him. This guy is the most decent and committed dad. Im not saying this is right for everyone. Im just saying....u know,....sometimes the book/rules are wrong. I wish you guys the very best. I really do. I will also say this: when I was growing up,...the weirdest kids i went to school with, where the ones with really old parents. Boy,...them kids...whooooo child! they must have eaten way too many lead paint chips or something. These were the kids melting crayons on the radiator at school. "They wont right !" We could have used those crayons fool! And u melted the good colors too! Look.... Two beautiful kids (sorry guys) make a beautiful kid. Aint that what we want? Nobody likes ugly kids. Just like,...two stupid people,..well...they gonna make a stupid kid. Dont we have enough of those? Just look at Congress ! My point is,...the pendulum swings both ways. Its not right for everyone. But its also no wrong for everyone. Who are we to judge? Umm? That job remains with a higher power does it not? Sorry I went long.

Why are people acting like this is fantastic for them? Teen pregnancy should not be encouraged or even happen but unfortunately it does so this is just sad. What about their youth??? it’s not okay ever.

Most parents who freak out ,probably aren't in a position to support an extra little one,let alone worry about how to navigate their teens towards independence. Hope you guys can stick it out for the long haul ,its all about Olivia now.(lovlyn)🤷‍♂️

You sound so bitter dude. Who's to say that these two young teenagers are not grateful for the support and love of their parents? Thinking everyone has to struggle is so weird to me. The baby looks happy and healthy that's all that matters
@leahmitchell6280
@leahmitchell6280 2 жыл бұрын
@@marzs794 i never said they weren't grateful. They seem very grateful for their parents. These kids just make it seems like anyone who has a baby at 14 or 15 will have an easy life or that its not a huge struggle. Its rare to find teenage parents that have a fancy nursery and clothes and all the expensive baby gear and gadgets. Thats not real life. I grew up in a trailer park with a single mother who was a drug addict. So if I were to have had a baby this young, our video would be a heck of a lot different.
