You've Inspired me to get my Class 2, Currently doing my theory revision for it, your video on whether or not to pick Class 1 or Class 2 Made me realise I wanted Class 2. A good tip I learned from Ron Pratt from Midwest Truck to help a vehicle slide on the tires easier is to use a little bit of dish soap

That crack in your screen is another concern. Within wiper sweep and more than 40mm. Don't pull over anywhere near ministry check point

What a day! The Renault Laguna was torture going on amd Beemer looked like you had to go down a one way street the wrong way. Both first cars were Preston registered so that was odd. There was also a Vauxhall Combo clamped as you went round! Can get any worse that this day I guess?!

the renault leguna was just like an audi a6 my dad had which had to be dragged onto a tow truck as it was stuck in park with an electric handbrake with an electrical issue

Been there plenty times Kev, bet all the pain in the ass cars where down as start and drive as well🤣 some days the cars just dont want to co operate, other times you are loading on a hill, on the piss, wheels hanging off from an annoying angle and they pull right up no bother! Even worse when not on your own lorry, not got all the extras to hell akward things, the swivel hooks on the straps, when they get wrecked cut them off are really handy can slip them on the brothers to help hook on to things, hook into wheels well when needing to pull them, the chocker straps are also really handy for around alloy wheel spokes to hook winch cables/chains to

Storm ⛈️ Babet was also terrible around here with extremely heavy rain & extremely high winds to. If you possibly saw a bus going through a village called Dunshalt that’s between Falkland & Auchtermuchty Dunshalt was badly flooded from what I heard. I hope you’re house 🏡 was ok & wasn’t flooded Bud ?

Skates never work on the decks and it would be the same result with it pulling in the wrong direction, the metal decks are slippery enough. Skated are only good for flat ground as as you can see from the video that's the only part that didn't give me any issues.

Renault lagunas have an emergency handbrake release as apparently do most cars with auto handbrakes.

Yep they all have a release somewhere but knowing where they are is something else, sometimes quicker to just drag them on.

It was too big, wouldn't get it on the kick deck, I didn't know others were going to cancel so as far as I knew at this point I had a full truck.

I'm surprised they let you take an unroadworthy truck out. No way I'd be allowed to take out a truck with a cracked screen. Toll have strict rules that a truck must be roadworthy at all times. Hence we have a checklist before driving off that takes about 15 minutes too tick off and do a take 5 every time we take off from break or pickup.

Hi Kev one question, in a 10 hours driving shift, if you drive 4 hours take 45min break, drive another 4 hours, after second 45min break, do you have 1 hour left yo drive or you can use those 2 half an hour left from first and second 4.5 hours and add it up and make it 2 hours driving in 3rd section of driving? tnx

Yes mate, in that scenario after your second 45 minute break you would have 2 hours driving time remaining 👍
