You did a great job on the review!! It was very helpful. I’m on Lesson 2 and flipping back and forth has been a little confusing to me with the teachers guide.

We love it! Yes. About 20 minutes. Day 3 seems to be about the longest. 25 min.

Thank you so much for the detailed flip-through, this is exactly what I have been looking for. I wish the program had an assessment so we know what level to start our kiddos on. One small favor? 🙏🏾 If you have time can you also do a flip-through of the yellow book? My daughter knows phonics, blends, etc. But am still a little stuck on which book to start her on. Thank you for providing great content. 🥰

Sure! I'll be ordering it at the end of this month. 🤗 I do know they introduce sight words in level K so that might be a reason to get it.... Or you can always just include those in with the ones you have in the red book.

@@ShardaeRenee She knows a ton of sight words. We do flash cards and started with Jady A’s Elemental Phonics. We are currently completing The Good And The Beautiful ELA; then we will start From Phonics to Reading. So maybe I should just get the Red book she may be ready by the end of her current curriculum. 🤔

Yeah. I'd say start with the red book. We finished the good and the beautiful level k and then we moved to this book. I thought I could start with unit 2 BUT once we got started I just decided to start her from the beginning. 🙂 I hope it works out for you guys. 🤗

I bought magnets from Amazon. Small circle ones. And added them to the back. You'll have to use yours from the teachers copy and your child's. You can also print it from the website. You'll have to ask the company for a log in and password though. It was super easy and they respond to email quickly. 🤗

How impactful do you feel level a is? With getting to the end of it do you find your child is writing paragraphs and spelling correctly?

Level A-top tier for phonics. My daughter is reading and reading well. When it comes to writing, I would not say this curriculum is the best for that. I actually bought a writing curriculum because while level A touches on sentence structure, it does not address paragraphs. Level A also touches on grammar. You can get away without purchasing anything else to go with it but I just felt like my child could do more. As for spelling, yes. Great for spelling and it gives you spelling lists if you'd like to add that. My issue was actually coming up with the activities to practice. You can totally get one of those generic practice bundles from teachers pay teachers. Let me know if this helps and what you decide to get! 🤗

Thank you for being so detailed. My daughter is 10 years old & struggles to read. Have you ever heard of phonics pathways ? I was thinking of getting this book and phonics pathways. Do you think this book alone is enough or should I also use the other book.

Hey! I'm not familiar with pathways. I didn't use anything else with level A to teach Phonics. For level K, I ended up purchasing "Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons." This was because I didn't know how to teach my 6 year old how to blend properly. 🙃 I think you can never go wrong with picking one and if you need more purchasing the other. I hope this helps! Let me know what you decide on using. 🤗

we use both reading pathways and phonics pathways. You can find the books used often and they are great for struggling readers. We do a page a day and it really goes along way over time.

How would you compare this to All About Reading? Do they have a placement test?

Hey! They don't have a placement test as far as I know but the company is great at providing support to homeschoolers of that's something you're interested in. I'm not sure how it compares to all about reading. I've never used it....🤷🏾‍♀️ Good luck on your reading journey with your kiddos! 😊
