This is one of the first times I've recorded a video while wearing headphones. As I mention in the video, I probably should monitor my audio ALL the time, instead of just looking at the meter to see if I'm clipping. But HEARING my voice in real-time while I'm recording does have an effect on how I talk. I think it makes me take things a little calmer. I've been feeling hurrified in recent videos. Hope y'all like the new setup! Steady Craftin videos are made with the help of DIRECT SUPPORT: www.patreon.com/steadycraftin (You'll also get access to the printable 3D scans of my original sculpted figures, MP3s, exclusive behind-the-scenes videos, shop discounts, and more.) My family and I are so grateful that I get to do this.

@@TheCrafsMan please be extra mindful and careful when playing with cold casting. I know you are extra responsable, your an amazing role model... I really am extra excited a younger audience is able access such a healthy enviroment you provide... I was involved in "cold plating" r&d project and ended up unknowingly go copper toxic w heavy metal poisoning.. I wore respirator but was deal w materials by the 5 gallon bucket. It is so fine ground it just lingers in air and other exposure. It ramped up the impact had on me. I was think just irritated skin cause hives... Was suspending "bronze" in resins and spraying over different materials. Was scuff back resins to expose metal w solvent and scotch bright, cold patina and then clear coat.. My experiance and exposure was not normal, but had very large impact on me and my health. Get a down draft table going.... Great for fumes and vapors cost u nothing to build use pc fans so also quiet... I dont wish my experiance on anyone... It was not something i could even easy identify as issue or why my health took such a bad turn. Thanks for what you do👍👍

Goodness, my friend I hope you eventually get full health again, glad I only use small and I mean small amounts of any heavy metal and that is Lead. Disclaimer not using powder, not after seeing just how bad it is. No it is solid and liquid I deal with Solder tin/Lead kids and resin flux is all I breathe in if that. I will plate safer metals if I need a copper color, never powder. Thanks for the advice and truly I do hope you can get back to at least 90% full lung capacity my dad he had cancer twice due to chewing Tobacco and he quit and his lungs will never be a hundred percent due to his Trache but he is 90% and that is great.

Dear CrafsMan, my toddler woke up at 4:15am and she was inconsolable. I offered her snacks, water, milk, reading a book, I even offered her to hang out with the cat, which is her favorite thing usually. She would not stop crying and rejected all my offers. So I put on this video and she calmly watched your soothing crafting and fell back asleep. You got me an extra hour of sleep this morning, and I really appreciate it.

"LEGO" vs. "LEGOs" seems to be a dialect difference, but the ones who say "LEGO" get snobby about it. Grammatically, it's the difference between treating it as a mass noun like "plastic" vs. a count noun like "block." "Brick" can also go either way: "A building made of brick" (treating "brick" as a material) vs "A building made of bricks" (referring to the individual pieces). You can substitute "LEGO" or "LEGOs" in those sentences. Technically, trademarked terms like "LEGO" are supposed to be used as adjectives ("LEGO bricks," "LEGO sets," etc.), not nouns (whether singular or plural). That's how the company itself uses it, and their site has a section specifically saying not to say things like "I play with LEGO" or "I play with LEGOs," but to say "I play with LEGO bricks" instead. Although it's technically only correct to use a brand name as an adjective, in practice we use them as nouns (singular and plural) all the time when we talk about using our iPhones, eating some Trix, playing on our Nintendo Switch, etc. I think some people don't realize the difference between the adjective and the singular noun, since they're both "LEGO," and they try to use that as a justification for why the singular noun is "more correct."
@ColonelSandersLite

@@kane2742 "Technically, trademarked terms like "LEGO" are supposed to be used as adjectives ("LEGO bricks," "LEGO sets," etc.), not nouns (whether singular or plural)." While that's generally true with American English, I honestly have no idea if that actually applies to Danish. The company page you mentioned sounds to me like it was written/editorialized by some company lawyer looking out for the brand.

I grew up saying "Legos" too, so don't feel like you're alone on that one. That's a lotta Mold Star. Got a little production run in the works? "What y'all been up to, lately?" Practicing my handwriting, like back in school when we had the lined paper for making cursive letters. Also using some dip pens for inking artwork, instead of using my pigment markers. I recommend giving them both a try! With that SLA printer, you could probably print articulated parts for action figures with the pegs and everything, then cast them in some slightly flexy resin so the pieces pop together. Somebody would probably appreciate a robot like that toy but with moving parts! Maybe even ones you could swap out and customize.

Hi Crafsman! I dunno if you've ever done this--I don't like picking the bits of silicone out of my legos (lego), so I make a little box out of the side of a cereal box. I just draw a rectangle around my object (it doesn't have to be perfect), and then cut sides out and fold them up, then I seal the outside with tape. They're not very reusable, but they're quick and easy to make! You can even make triangles or wacko shapes, too, if you want the sides of the box to hug close to your object to conserve silicone. I dunno, just thought I'd share....

Love you and your work, Crafsman. I wish you were my Neighbor. You seem like a wonderful person. Thank you for what you do. I found for myself, a nice sense of relaxation and peace. You are a great example for a crazy, racing world. Thank you and warm regards to you and your family. If you ever need something, just drop me a line. I do not know what I could do, but that remains to be seen. I sure would try.

What have I been up to you ask brother? I’ve been working on my music. This lockdown has really helped me fall in love with myself. But I’ve been so busy, I fell out of touch with your channel. I love your videos. They give me, love yourself vibes, in a way that isn’t cheesy or in your face. I wish you did more cartoons or animations. Those are my favorites. If you did little cartoons for your action figures and gave them little stories, I think your channel would pop off. I wouldn’t be able to wait. Because crafts are fun, but once you get into crafts, you learn so much, so fast, and statistically, people are only interested in instructional videos for so long. But entertainment, people always need entertainment. And people want to connect with you. Cartoons would give us a deeper look into the mind of the Crafsman 😊
