From River to Neck: Making the Mud Puppy!

I took a 3 day journey down the Willamette River by canoe. And along the way I spotted a few agates. This particular agate caught my attention because it had some really interesting colors that I hadn’t seen before. So I decided to cut it and see what was inside. I wasn’t disappointed! I'd love to get one those faceting wheels. It's almost impossible to eyeball a gemstone perfectly.

Yes it really makes all the difference. This one is a really good one and it was a pretty big investment but I’m glad I got it. It’s an ultra tech v5 machine.

I really like this "story" videos and pendant looks Amazing 👏. How long did it take you to grind the Agate into the final shape?

I’m embarrassed to say lol. It was about an entire day. I split it up over 3 days though. If I would have thinned it out first it would have gone quicker. Also the top broke off when I first tried to drill the hole and I had to re shape the top :) There was a natural cleave point where I needed to put the hole and it broke along it. You can see it in the video actually :) I started Sojourn fine jewelry in order to tell the story of life’s journey. Wearing jewelry from things along the journey of life just makes me happy :)
