Hey, It's Brandon!
Today we're going to look at the top 4 ways to make money through solar energy businesses. I know several people in different roles throughout the industry and they're all making enormous sums of money. We'll talk about how normal, everyday workers can make $40+ an hour at solar farms without a college degree. I'll show you how those solar farms rent land directly from normal farmers or through middlemen on long term, profitable leases. We'll look at the incredible, government supported, financing terms that solar syndications can carry. I'll also talk briefly about a friend who's making tens of thousands of dollars per month selling residential solar systems. All of these different models offer great pathways for average people to move up in the world. Whether you're working a minimum wage job or actively investing at scale, one of these methods could hold your next big opportunity.

Each state now has a program where they will buy out the panels. Meaning Homeowner does not have to come out of pocket for the product or installation but instead just pay LESS for electricity than what they’re paying. And like how he said, the utilities WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE, but we cap the homeowners at a 2.9 increase as opposed to the 8-11%. Meaning the longer you have solar, the more money you save every year. The only way someone will make 20k off one home is if it’s a humongous home that’s pulling a lot of electricity. Smaller, lower income homes average about a 2-5k commission while still saving the Homeowner on electricity.

Worked for one of these scam artists and saw the contracts they were giving people, the help they hired, and the drug addicts that managed the teams. Absolute scams and scum all the way around, but $75 an hour plus guaranteed 60+ hours a week was hard to turn down. Glad I jumped ship. Got a lot of praying to do to make up for it.

It’s not. I agree there are a lot of private companies that screw people over. Just have to do research on the package and the company you’re going with. Solar can help a lot of people. There was a single elderly lady that I’ve worked with that lives in a ranch home. She was paying well over 500 for electricity. Got her down to about 250. That’s not a scam, it’s helping someone save money with the use of the sun that’s been there since the beginning of time.

8:00 "which to me, isn't overly ethical". Overpaying for a product and locking consumers into horrible contracts is like predatory student loans sold on a false premise that "a college loan is a good investment that will pay for itself quickly and make you millions over your life" > sold often to a minor. Here it's uneducated homeowners who - even if they price shop - all the solar install companies are price gouging.
@InvestmentJoy
@InvestmentJoy 6 ай бұрын
I'm sure my explanation sucks, but it's a situation where I have to tow this line of solar installers beating my door down because I called them scammers and unethical, and my ability at some point in the future may be to buy a solar installation company and run it in a more ethical way. I know it sounds very politically correct but when you have as many people watch videos as I do you have to really kind of be that way

Not trying to be argumentative here cause I've had a bad week, but solar seems like an industry that can only reward big players and requires small players to push it. Also while your recession assumption about the industry makes sense it seems like a long-term money trap when more bigger players get involved. Ceteris Paribus. If supply out paces demand then we would see energy have a lower cost basis. This may not be the case but I'd rather my energy bills become lower over time. I've been watching you grow since the carwash days. And I love your videos. I just wish there was a constructive way for a full time worker to grow their wealth without absorbing life changing risks. Also it'd be nice for me to make $40/h but I've tried changing industries once only to end up back in retail. And a crushed sense of drive.

Ehh you’re not going to be making $80k/yr as a construction guy in the Midwest unless you’re doing highly specialized work. My father worked 30 years in construction and never made more than $70k/yr in 2024 money. Even owned his own business for a while. $60-70k might happen for you. Amish really drive the value down in Northeast-Central Ohio. I’m personally only making $52k/yr in maintenance that can be construction at times. Was offered a job at $62k/yr once but didn’t take it because I’d be working 10-11 hour days. Currently I’m working 8-9 hour days, not including lunch. You’ll only be making that $80-90k/yr if you own the business then you can make “side money” with your employees and materials. But honestly if you don’t have $100k seed money and 10 years experience you won’t be doing that either. Maybe Columbus proper and Cincinnati you can make more or if you’re doing commercial buildings. But then you’re likely dealing with nesting dolls of LLCs and passing the liability-buck around. 💩flows down hill. Is it better than working at Starbucks or McD’s for $14/hr with no OT? Yeah. Is it life changing? It can be. Is it going to make you live a luxurious life and gain you financial independence? No probably not. $52k/yr is gone at the end of every month when you pay $1,150/month mortgage, utilities and recurring bills, with no kids.
