So here's a unique 460mag. The 460XVR with a 10.5" barrel. It's a beast! Very interesting revolver to shoot. Stay Safe and Check 360 Often!

I recently picked up my first Big bore revolver this week, vintage late 70’s Ruger Super BlackHawk, 7.5” barrel, .44 magnum, blued. It even came with a vintage Bianchi holster and gun belt. I intend to use this revolver for handgun hunting.

Everybody swoons over the 500 but the 460 is the real hot rod. Amazing round, amazing revolver!

The versatility of the 460 S&W XVR is what sold me. Four different cartridges in one revolver. What's not to like? Great revolver with multiple applications.

Nice! She's definitely a big ol' gurl. I like how you stated it was a "recreational revolver" for your needs. It looks like so much fun in that role, and is probably quite the conversation piece on the range, too. 👍👍

quite expensive to shoot 460mag though but it is a nice gun to shoot every once in a while. And yes it sure is a conversation piece at the range!

I love the wheel gun series. I’m all in for the wheel guns. I have this revolver & I carry it for my CCW daily. I carry it in an IWB holster made exclusively by pete from the Armory channel / armor guard holsters. 😂 thanks for sharing my friend, be safe and shoot straight.

Wow - that's the biggest CCW I've ever heard of someone having as an EDC! 🤯

I agree; that's way too much for the handgun range! 😆... I get enough odd reactions from my 6" 686 as-is (we live in a world of compact semi-autos, lol).

Its interesting as starting last year to now I see more and more and more plastic guns with red dot optics. Nothing wrong with them (I own a few) but I never thought I'd see almost everyone carrying them today.

@@TheOl1911 Yeah, I like semi-autos - but I'm primarily a revolver guy... And somehow I don't ever see myself hopping onto the red dot bandwagon (less reliable because it's battery will need to be charged - and more expense; I'd rather put money towards ammo).

Nifty revolver. I'm very curious is the muzzle brake removeable, threaded on there somehow, or is it intregal with the barrel or barrel shroud? I've been thinking about getting one of these more as a heavy gun to shoot 45 colt or mild 454 casull handloads I realize a person wouldn't want to take that brake off and shoot 460 out of it. I'd like to know if it can be removed to shoot lighter recoiling loads with out the added noise from the brake. Thanks for making the neat revolver videos they're fun to watch.
@TheOl19114 ай бұрын
no brake is not removable. I believe there is a special tool that is used to take it off.

What’s the model of the optic? I was also looking at Burris optics for my Ruger Super Redhawk in .454.
