You are on a whole different level in model building. By far one of the best I've ever seen. Beautiful.

Super awesome ideas, I did a suicide front end on my 29 and the geometry of the old front ends was kind of crazy. I’m super impressed with your 29. Awesome craftsmanship.

Thanks! I wanted it to have the illusion that everything would function if is was a 1:1 car.

@@timkustom that’s what I try to do, like it’s built in a backyard garage. Really dig what you build and would love to see more.

Beautiful Work, thanks for sharing. Last week a nice young man approached me at hobby lobby and asked if you could complete a model kit in a week. I was taken back but ended up answering "yeah, you could I guess" lol I didn't want to scare him away from getting into the hobby but obviously taking time to thoughtfully prepare and do everything top notch is going to take much longer.
@timkustom Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. I think you gave that young man a totally appropriate answer. While this model did take years, I've built nice models in a week some even in less than 24hrs. How long does it take to build a model will be one of my future topics. Stay tuned!

Awesome build Tim. Nice research you did. It amazed me how many of these parts I have in my parts boxes that I inherited from my buddy's estate. He must have had a similar idea. I think the only things I don't have are the wheels, the headlight lenses, and a few engine parts.

Thanks! Put your buddy's parts to use and build one. They are fun!

SICK!!! Love the Duvall windshield! Not to mention that color! Plan on showing your black T-bird, that one is my favorite of your builds! Think that one was in S A E? Thanks for sharing Tim! 😎✌️🫡🇺🇸

Wow! You remember that one. Time has not been kind to that one. Perhaps a restoration video in the future? I've even considered building another one. Hmmm.

Great build Tim! When you say a 10" kick up is that 1/25 scale converted into 10.16mm? And is that the total length of that kick up piece or did you add the height of the frame to that? Sorry, new to scratch building and trying to figure out how all these dimensions are made.
@timkustom10 ай бұрын
The kick up piece is about 10mm. The rear crossmember for the buggy spring drops it back down a little. Before deciding the kick up, I placed the axle/spring/crossmember where I wanted it in relation to the body, then "filled in the blank" to decide the frame kick up. HTH, and thanks for watching!

Great! are there 1:12 scale kits for the same?
@timkustom6 ай бұрын
Unsure of a 1/12 scale. There is a 1/16 scale body from Minicraft. You would be on your own for the rest.
