I always adored and appreciated the many talents of Debbie Reynolds. My favorites were Debbie, Sandra Dee, and Natalie Wood. I loved Debbie in Tammy and the Bachelor, she was so natural and adorable. I remember watching unsinkable Molly Brown in the movie theater when I was a girl, she took my breath away with her dancing, as I was taking lessons myself.

I love all these wonderful stars and have autographs from all of them, except for Meryl Streep. Debbie was one of the cutest, most talented women in Hollywood history. Tony had an urgency about him that made him come alive on the screen. Hank epitomized on the screen what men should aim to become: honorable, respectful, generous, disciplined, and audacious. Kirk had a fire in his belly that showed in so many of his roles. And Meryl can be anybody. As Nora Ephron said about Meryl Streep, "I highly recommend having Meryl Streep play you."

I'm sure it has already been suggested but it seems to me that Meryl is is a true "spiritual channel" an intuitive channel. I get it and some who get what I am writing get it so how beautiful to see her so humbly speak on what she does.

I totally agree! And she's still talking about it. There's a bitterness in the tone of her voice and behind her eyes whenever she speaks of him. I'm sure he wasn't perfect. However, neither is she. You'd think that after all this time, she would have moved on.

Jane always wanted her father to be proud of her. He would brag about her to others, but never tell *her* he was proud. That, and his distance, affected his children deeply.

@@cherylkoski7184 Not for someone of his time and place. This was known as lounge wear, back in the day. It was at home wear that ladies and gentlemen wore at home-including when they were entertaining guests. For the ladies, they had clothing called hostess gowns that fit into that category. Just very old fashioned.

@@cherylkoski7184 I'm referring to his place and time. He was born in 1925. His heyday was the 50's and 60's. His talent is undeniable. He and Janet Leigh are Jaime Lee Curtis' parents, all three excellent actors. He was born in the Bronx of immigrant parents. Men then and there wore this type of t shirt as a matter of course. If you ever see old movies, you'll likely see this, along with other customary ways of dressing from those time. People of his place and time dress the way they do, just as other generations. He is free to wear what he wants. There's northing wrong with it. PS I wear some of the same types of clothing I wore decades ago. Some things don't go our of style or fall out of favor. So what?
