Join Mike Pappas of Dead Air Silencers as he offers a brief overview of the IMI Galil ARM 5.56. Based heavily on the Finnish RK 62 (Valmet) and designed by Yisrael Galil this rifle became the official service rifle of Israel from the mid-1970s to the early 1990s. The ARM variant was equipped with folding bipod, carry handle and larger handguard. By 2000 the M4 and M16 had replaced the standard issue Galil ARM. The M16 and M4 variants were thought to be a more viable option for the US M203 integrated 40 mm grenade launcher.
