Fascinating pistol and design. I loved I your story about how you made your own locking wedge for it too, well done and so jealous of what you paid for it too! 👍

Surprising that Steyr never tried to develop the Hahn post war. I know they were restricted by treaty but it didnt seem to stop them working on other guns.

Man i bought one recently been wanting one for a long time i love old semi auto handguns like this i have a little mouse gun a mauser 1910 in 25acp i love these type of firearms its when they were all hand made and made with love my guns 107 years old and it still works with all original parts mine was supposedly a GI bringback from ww2 i wish i had documentation but it was a old widow that said her husband brought it back only thing now is you cant find any ammo at all for it

The Steyr 1911s are awesome pistols. Ammo is not a problem. Starline makes the brass, Lots of people make 9 mm bullets and you can reload it in .38 super automatic dies. Data for .38 colt automatic is about right The stripper clips from some of the post war 9 mm Parabellum, I think it was Check, ammo work perfectly. The only problem is recovering fired brass. They launch spent cases into low orbit somewhere behind you. good shooting and Happy groveling up the empties .( Check loading data from a reliable source )

I picked one up about 5 years ago.......one of the German 9mm Luger conversions......for $850. I had to replace the worn extractor, which was $95 when I found one. What are you going to do....buy the part or not be able to use the gun?

I bought 1 about 20yrs ago along with Austrian ww1 ammo. Fired a few then stored it. Then had a chance to buy another I just couldnt let it go.

I got to work on one a few months ago. It was a WW2 bring back from the ETO. It had laid in a friend's father's shed for many years and had rusted shut. A little ballistol and it freed right up.

I have one of the special lot was order by the German Army, a lot of 60,000 pzs. that have number "08" engraved onthe slide and the German army eagle engraved above the trigger. I wonder how much it can be worth.

Absolutely love this pistol. I was lucky enough to pick up 2 of them, surprisingly one I happened to pick up is nazi marked.
@therealchromify4 жыл бұрын
The Nazi marked ones are rebarreled for 9mm luger. You got a lucky piece there.

Another thing about the Styer-Hahn. It has no coil springs in it. All springs are Flat springs
@jonathanhudak20595 ай бұрын
It's recoil spring is a coiled spring though, hope that helps.

Very slender, concealed carry ? And the magic or working the metal to hand fabricate the wedge is a sacred bond to the sidearm. In WW2 the Axis chambered some for 9/19mm.
