The show im detroit was never taped. Taping began @ WNEW in NYC after the New Years Day episode. I was one of the recording engineers

No..Sadly Lynda Pierson..Soupy and his puppeteers and comedy assistants:Clyde Adler and Frank Nastasi are no longer with us.

@@kevinbutler1955NYC I count myself very fortunate for having grown up in Detroit watching the very first shows with Soupy, which included his daily "Lunch with" and later "Breakfast with" show, PLUS his nightly "SOUPY'S ON" show, which also featured Clyde Adler doing on-screen skits with him (especially skits aboard the Mississippi steamboat the SS Kielbasa, dealing with gambling, drinking, "singing" and other hi-jinx.) )Later moved to Los Angeles and continued to watch him in The New Soupy Sales Show as an adult. Always felt like a kid again watching hi shows. Great charming, utterly silly fun.
