This was filmed back in 2010, in our old garage.
Still same workers, work at Urbans Garage in 2022
Processes has been improved, more fun tools has been bought....

Thanks Michael for you comment, this was made some 10 Years ago, and we have stepped Up even more, with newer tools, more training in metalforming, but Still handcrafted by very skilled and talented craftmen, old school...

its good to see the old school techniques being incorporated with some of the newer welding equipment and shrinking. so meany of the body shops out there would mige up bash in and let the filler mack it look right. butnot this guy to marcks from one old tin basher to another

Would enjoy to see or hear some type of explanation of every step - sort of explaining what each tool is , how they determine how much to grind etc - great video other wise.

When was this and what Parts could not be obtained from Porsche? A member of my 944 forum, 944online said a Porsche salesman told him the company planned to ramp up the restoration parts it sells.

Hi, this was Long time Ago, Porsche makes a lot of parts now in their classic Department. Restoration design also makes a lot of sheetmetal parts

We use LEAD in most places yes.

looks like it would have been easier to just machine a new set of body dies and stamp out new ones.

Yes, easier, but we prefer to Keep original Porsche metal as Much as possible.
