I started with the Hornby select, it comes with a 1amp power supply. When I got more locos with sounds the 1 amp could not cope. I could run "one" loco with all lights an sound but not two together. I had sound but no movement or running but no sound. An upgrade to Hornbys 4amp which works with the select sorted all this. The select ran all my Bachmanns, Hornbys and Dapols 68 with no problem and it was one version down from the latest firmware upgrade. Hope you sort it. I had the same problem ish with my select it would not work with my TTS flying Scotsman but I went to my local model shop and they sent it off and they updated it free so hope this can help

- Hornby select is not NMRA compliant and has problems with Bachmann chips

Are you going to try and expand the layout ?

I don't recommend Hornby selects, they don't work with all decoders, I would recommend getting a different controller. Great video!
