FRONT CLAM CHALLENGE - Modifying My Exige - Hell Slow Project Part 3

2 жыл бұрынThis is Part 3 of the series and we're making good progress. Having removed the rear clam, we now attempt to remove the front clam. We also weigh some parts so we can try to work out how much weight the build will save. 5kg saving on the new front clam is a good start!
In the next episode we'll be developing a new rear wing, and hopefully I can show you some new parts when they start arriving!

Looking forward to seeing where you go with this. I did a similar thing 8 years ago to my Noble M12 3 R. Full strip, mod then rebuild. Both front and rear clams were off in 10 mins! Only held on by 2 pins with R clips. Good luck.

Great vid, how come the new front clam if so much lighter than the original? It's not carbon is it?

I’m not 100% sure, but I think they changed what type of GRP it is. All these weight savings add up which is quite nice, it’ll be interesting to see how much the car weighs when the project is finished…

No, it’ll be a new colour. I’ll show the new colour when we start the painting process so I can try to bring people along on the journey with me. Still haven’t 100% decided on the colour!
