It would be helpful if you mentioned the two black ‘washers/caps’ that fit over the inlets before installation. My washer leaked profusely at initial installation. Then I went back to my old inlet valve, and noticed your video had one on and one off. I took both caps off my old unit, put them on the new one, and problem solved! Otherwise, thank you SO MUCH for the detailed video and description. As a single elderly woman, I find these videos immensely valuable. It makes me very proud to be a DIY-er, again thanks to you!

I Love your Taped screwhead tip Thank you. Your video is well done. I have a problem with my Whirlpool duet steam Front Loading washer. I wish I could find a video as well informing as this one. My washer doesn't drain anything out of the detergent compartment, and leaves the bleach compartment full of water when the wash load is finished. It is quite perplexing.

I had a plugged filter. No water in and it would not drain. Filter door was on the front. It had a sock in it. Works great now.

i have a LG washer ( WM3370H_A front load. it is about 1.5 years old. the washer operates as usual but no water entering. also i only have the water knob turned only 1/4 turn. i have steel hose. what are the odds that i have a clogged screen or bad inlet valve ? thanks ! forgot to mention the dryer is on top so can't get to the rear of the washer unless i remove the dryer which is a pain in the....

thanks for your video, I checked water and other things and seems like it might be the valve also my washer is a Whirlpool front loader it seems like cold water is not sufficiently entering the medium and large cycle but on small cycle it works fine. On a large cycle it stops and beeps and doe not finish the cycle. If you could give me any tips I would be very thankful! its a whirlpool wfw9150 front-loading, non-digital, thanks

i have no water coming in, tested continuity on the inlet valve in all plugs and they were fine (around 1000 ohms) tested voltage again in all of them and they all read around 110v so assume all is fine there as well. SO if I still have a no water coming in issue (hot, cold or warm) then it's still the inlet fill valve that needs replacing or something else?

What is the 3rd (blue) solenoid valve for that you did not check. I am having a drip from the top of the inside of the washer. I think it may be where the steam comes in but not sure. I am not having the typical water leak running down the left side of the door seal. Any thoughts?

Excellent video. Is it also likely a cold water valve issue if cold water leaks inside the machine when the Samsung machine is OFF? PS Hot water does NOT leak as I first tested one then the other. No water on the outside at the back where the braided hose connects. Thanks so much.

my machine won't fill the pump comes on right away at start then e30 code appears The connection for the valve at the board gives me 240v on both leads (return) and 0volts across the leads. When disconnecting the valve connection from the board the reading is then 240 live 0volts return and 28volts. across the terminals can you explain what is happening so far nobody can help me This problem is intermitting it could take a few goes before working or it could take hours.

I dropped my soap, bleach and softener drawer and the face of tray separated from trays. I put it together and slid tray back into machine. No water goes into machine is there a reason water doesn't go into machine because of a tray fault?

Now, first let me say that I'm NOT a pro, and I don't play one on TV. But the repair guy that just came to my house claimed it's required that you replace those little black rubber gaskets (or plugs or whatever you want to call them) that the tips of the valve assembly plugs into on the machine (behind the dispenser tray). And how much would you think those little plugs cost? A nickel, a quarter, ok be real generous..say $2 a piece? Nope... how about $40 a piece!! I checked the prices even on Amazon, that's what they cost! And my "beautiful machine" just so happens to require 5 of THEM!!! (The machine in the video only needs 2) The repair guy said that if you don't replace them, there is a leak possibility which could destroy the machine (allegedly) because the new valve won't seat the same with old gaskets.. So now I ask, what do the Pros (or others) think about that?
