Back in 1988 I decided to build a roller coaster in my back yard I was 16 and we were wild kids I made it out of wood and pipe from a old house well I finished it it was about the size of wills well i gathered a bunch of friends hopped on and they pulled a rope to bring me up on the start hill I shouted go and next thing I remembered I woke up in A@E didn't stop my love for trill rides haha I now have 7 home made coasters in my back yard and your ideas and inventions helped me finish a lot of them thanks will :) I would love to post my progress on KZfaq like you but I'm useless for technology haha I use my sons account and all I can do is click and type

Looks good. On the upstop support design, welds in shear loading are better than weld in tension loading, but that would be more of a fatigue issue, and would be an problem if you were using it many thousands of times. If you have any doubt, you could send a long grade 8 bolt from top to bottom, right through the center of the vertical support tube. I think you'll feel quite a left jerk in the first turn off the hill. Your riders will probably learn to lean right coming off the hill, which will minimize the loads. You might want to leave a little clearance between the upstop wheels and the track, or it will bind a little on hills and valleys. But, you wanted more drag.... The cart looks really good. I assume you'll provide some sort of bombproof way that their feet can't get down to the track.

Paul Gregg First off, you were right about the seat. Headline is too rough off the first drop and after the camel hump. I'm going to experiment with different seating, and and enclosed cart. I'm pretty comfortable with the welds these days. Great thing about modular design is that I can add/remove/change/replace track segments. First to go will be the turn off the first drop. I'd like the rollout to be longer and convert more potential energy to kinetic fun :) As with all things, a work in progress!

Will Pemble Then again, "rough" is different for different people, and it may depend on who you let ride it. It may be fine for your son, even more exciting, the way it is. After he rides a few times, he can anticipate rough spots, and react. But you might not want inexperienced or out-of-shape riders.

you should make horns as handles or something for the dragon becouse i love to hold on to the bars when ever im riding a roller coaster

You should consider adding anti roll backs on the lift. I know that has nothing to do with this video but I think it would make your coaster cooler and safer!

Will Pemble Dude that's awesome! I would put a rubber pad on the bottom of the anti roll back dog so it doesn't get too loud and it can prevent damage to the ride!

You don't have a high enough incline, so when is the motor going to be put into practice?! A simple high power dc motor with a 12 volt 6000 mah lipo, maybe 300 bucks when done.
