Nice to have you narrate the tour you give us in your family farm. I learned some new things today. Thank you for the videos.

I love your common sense and intentional way. Would you perhaps consider doing a feeder pig, grow out series? My first year and I'm all about learning all I can with my IPP's.

RuthAnn we are so blessed with your channel! You are a blessing to families. I am now in my mid 70’s and still learning from you. What I enjoy is your down-to-earth days that you show us. Don’t ever change that.

This is my 2nd or 3rd time watching this video. I ordered the zinc from Now products and have them stored with my canning supplies. When green beans come in this year I will can green beans with you. I’m a diabetic so I can’t eat corn as often as I wish I could. Thank you for sharing your knowledge of canning and gardening with us. May God bless you and your family greatly!

I think your family is precious! Nobody likes to work but you talked before about teaching your children how you be the example and the children follow your example. Doing the sauce I saw the little ones wanted to help! Awesome!

You left your green tomatoes out. That got me wondering whether you make pickled green tomatoes? That's a multigenerational tradition in my family. At least 4 of my aunts made them, and I even remember my grandmother making them. She grew up on a farm in Slovakia, in theckare 1800’s, and passed on when I was only 8 years old.

Looked like a nice harvest I haven't had a chance to go back and look at any of you videos but I did check your about box and found out that you were from Northern Iowa. I'm in north Eastern Ohio we haven't had a frost yet but it's getting much chillier at night so the time I'm sure is coming. We moved this year so we didn't have a garden and I have missed it.

@@Ruthannzimm we moved into a different zone so our average frost is between the first and the 15th where I was from before it was from the 15th to the 30th and sometimes could push it a little further I know you can also but I didn't expect that early of a frost in your area of the country

The piglets aren't the only ones growing on your farm! Is Mitch as tall as Dad already?? 👀 Ruth, you really do well with your short season there. I can usually keep a few tomatoes and peppers going until January here. We were a week into January this year when I picked our last fresh tomato for a salad this past winter!

Carolyn, I found a recipe that sounds similar for pickling watermelon rind. I did a small batch, but I felt like it needed more of something. It wasn't very pickle-y or cinnamon-y and tasted nothing like watermelon. If I ever try cinnamon pickles again, I think I'll find a new recipe. Does your recipe come out hot or cinnamon-y?
