This was quite the motley crew! Recorded a year ago, Yui and I were bored and decided to ask some non-Journey runners to do a random speedrun together. My memory could be wrong, but I believe this was Haboo, Mika, and Lazor’s first Journey run. And what a run! It got off to a very strong start, and it never suffered any of the major setbacks that I was expecting. We powered through it, and I hope everyone had a great time doing it. Even a year later, it stands as the record! And no, I have no idea why I decided to kill Queen Slime. I was looking for Cobwebs and Lead to make Silk, and the shiny Crystal just caught my eye as though I was a crow. I was basically the pep squad to this run, I didn’t actually accomplish very much at all!
This run could’ve been a lot faster, but we were just trying to nab the record out of pure boredom. A more optimized run would likely use bees to have Golem dead much sooner, then have one group work on getting the summon item, while the others kill Cultists and then use bees to quickly get a Nebula Arcanum. Several players equipped with this weapon could shred Frost Moon in only a couple of minutes, rather than the 10 that we took. We were more than happy to get the sub-30, but I’m sure a more dedicated group could get a sub-20!
