@@largelarry2126 Um, yeah that's not what they're trying to do. The "defund the police" movement is to divert funds that are paying the police to take care of issues that shouldn't be police issues. Like wellness calls when they like to shoot mentally challenged/mentally ill people in their own homes for hysterically crying too loudly. Put more money into programs that improve lives and outlooks of people so there's less crimes that way. The American strategy has never worked well, it's ridiculous to say that it can't be improved upon. Nobody is getting rid of the police, it would unfair to ask people who aren't police to do that job too.

These liberal judges always seem to want to sow hate in our communities. They don't live here. They live behind their walls in a place that seems safe and sound from the rest of us. @milomilo55
@milomilo55 4 жыл бұрын
I checked it out for LA and it has the 3 strikes laws but is applies to violent serious felonies like murder, manslaughter, rape and/or armed robbery. The problem with the felony label in LA is that they can be applied to crimes that would be considered misdemeanors elsewhere since LA actually has some of the harshest sentencing anywhere. Theft of something something from a car, home, or writing a bad check, or any form of "theft" (vs robbery) can be filed as a felony if the value is more than $500 and once there are 2 such charges then any future thefts, regardless of dollar value, will also be "felony" charges so if a guy steals items values at $505 twice any future thefts of anything...even a can of beans ...will be labelled another "felony" but the three strikes laws would not apply since the thefts of all those cans of beans, for example, would not be considered violent serious crimes even though they're labelled "felonies".

I believe a criminal should die in the same manner, and fashion, that their victim(s) did. The victim’s family should be the executioner if they desire. We never know what we could face at any time. These young men were dead within ten(?) minutes after they had first contact with their killers. No matter what side of the gun debate you’re on, you must realize that evil is present EVERYWHERE. Having a firearm with you could mean the difference between life and death. For those of you that believe we should call police when we’re face to face with a criminal, this is a prime example why we can’t rely on government for our protection.

@@sickofthebs93 from what I hear TJ is claiming to be the victim of a robbery. Although just how one goes about stealing a truck engine I am not clear on. I always thought engines were fairly firmly attached to the vehicles they're installed in. A bit on the weighty side sometimes if you could manage to free it up too. So grand theft engine is a new one on me.

I'm minding my own life of retirement in a peaceful rural part of Ontario Canada but this moved me in the right direction; grief for the family instead of rage on the perpetrators. I felt compelled for some reason, out of all the hell in the world right now, enough to make a small donations to the charity mentioned in this report.

Yeah he had a few felonies i guess that place never heard of the 3 strikes law The Three Strikes Law is organized as follows: Strike 1 - There is no additional punishment other than what generally follows the crime. Strike 2 - You will serve two times as much time as is required. Strike 3 - You will be sentenced to 25 years to life, no matter the nature of your current or previous felonies.

@Weißer Wolf what if the person was defending themselves in prison and committed violet act in the process? It's pretty easy to frame someone if you got plenty of fake witnesses and collaborated story.

At 26 years old this guy had been charged with over 231 felonies ??? Really ??? What does the system need to understand that this dirt isn't rehabilitatable ! If this piece of shit would have been locked up as he should have been for the rest of his life, the families would still have their sons. It's time to wake up and convict the felons as they should be, not with minimum sentences and letting them out early. I hope that that real justice gets served and as a father, my prayers go out to those families.
