Auger is: basic auger from hardware store, 5$ worth
A rocket stove is not a propulsion system, it does not generate thrust nor does it burn like crazy. It's a really old and really simple thing mostly used for food prep, cooking and grilling.
You make it with dry wood, not fresh cut trees and it's important to place it on a safe surface - like a rock as I did.
Also, there's no air compressor. It's called fire bellows and it's basically a collapsable straw : www.mokkimies.com/kootamo-poc...
Fire can be really dangerous so don't be stupid about it.
Cheers!

@Doctor Plague 1. what do u mean by no one says that r u try to convey that no one said that or something. 2. does cutting down a single tree equates to deforestation then if a person were to kill a single person can I consider that a massacre these are two very heavy terms that can’t be used for a single act of cutting down a tree 3. r u not living in a house made by wood sleeping in room with wooden furniture this isn’t a double standard thing it’s the norm we all have some wooden furniture so get over urself

Soooo I think it's time to adress all the "stop killing trees" comments. It was a semi-rotten dry stump from a tree broken in half, wich you can see in my full video. It was cut, made and placed on a rock. Now, there's couple of ways you can know it was dead: -the black lines in the tree are from xylophagous fungi also known as tree-rot fungi, meaning it was semi-rotten and dead for a loooong time -dry bark falling off is a good sign of a dead tree -the hollow sound it made when I tapped on it... yeah, dead tree. Also, this doesn't need an air blower - in the clip you see me using something called "fire bellows" wich is basically a collapsable metal straw used for blowig life into fire. And it's used only untill the fire gets going, not all the time. Also: -this is not a Swedish torch although it is similar -it's not a propulsion system but a way cooking food as it burns for a long time with fairly stable output - I did not invent it, nor did anyone on KZfaq. It's been used for hundreds if not thousands of years - I did not came up with the term "rocket stove", that's the term widely used for this kind of stoves (wood or metal) for a long time -any fire can be dangerous and get out of control if you're not careful, so if you're thinking of trying this... just don't be stupid about it Cheers!

The trunk still has dry roots that spread who knows where and could burn underground for days, eventually starting a fire somewhere around the stump and start a forest fire. This is why you never make a fire pit in the hole where a stump was removed. This actually can happen, as a friend of mine did that. Removed a stump, made a burn pit, several weeks later after many fires, smoke was coming out of the ground in half a dozen places, up to 20 feet from the pit, and fortunately we had running water nearby to flood the pit and all smoking areas.
