I’m 63 years old I retired at the age of 50 but when I was working, I traveled all the the freeways from Los Angeles to San Bernardino county to orange county for 30 years and there has been many times that stranded women whether it be nighttime excepted a ride from me, especially at night time before there was cell phones. Yep these women are lucky it was me. Lots of times. I would let them drive my car to safety so they wouldn’t get frightened. I would even show them my ID.

well see thats the problem in the world we live in, you might be a good guy with good intentions but some people arent thats why its better to stay safe bothways, ive heard of the person on the side of the road sometimes being the bad guy also. statistically speaking if a criminal sees a women on the side of the road she is most likely going to become a statistic where as men not so much BUT men are more brutally killed involving strangers, just stay safe there are always lunatics out there and remember after all the info we have gathered from serial killers, we know the nice ones tend to be hiding the worst things

For those too young to remember: Before cell phones, there were “emergency phones” on the highways. They were usually every couple of miles. No payment required. You just picked up the phone and you were connected with emergency services. The ol days when even though you could, you didn’t have to rely on the kindness of strangers.

Yeah, but they were only in cities and larger towns in the 1950s and 1960s. Yes, I remember them firsthand. Used to be you had to call the operator to get the police. Then someone invented 911, probably happened in California. That was also before tone dialing when we all had rotary phones. Cell phones were 25 years in the future. My cell phone is a huge computer, much bigger and more powerful than my first computer in the 1980s. Ah, the days of DOS and 64K 8-bit machines. And after all this time it is just the last 25 years that have birthed the current world. Amazing scientific advancements and reaching out to Mars. If we manage not to kill each other off, we only have about 2.5 billion years before Earth is not inhabitable due to solar expansion. In galactic time, a mere tick of the clock.

We still have a handful on the turnpike. From Ohio to Pennsylvania. I remember my mom using one down in Georgia because the brick we called cell phones back then died during a blowout tire on Spaghetti Junction. Thank ODIN for kind truckers! They blocked traffic long enough for us to limp off the road and called the closest mechanic to get us assistance. My mom went and uses the ER phone and they told her not to worry they have someone in route thanks to a couple of truckers that saw everything.

I slow down to get a better look thinking somebody might need to help, but there was nobody there. I realized later on reading the newspaper that was a vehicle of that young lady that was killed that I saw. I like to help people that are stranded because people Have helped me when I was stranded

My husband always took good care of my car. I had 2 kids and often I was upset when he was selling my few years old car and insisted on buying a new one. He was saying I want you and our kids to be safe and never get stranded. And as I said in my previous post, I drove for 3 miles to the nearest gas station on a flat tyre knowing that I am damaging the rim but all my life I was a so-called scary cat, so damaging it was the least of my concern.

I find these composite sketches fascinating. Or rather the artists who create them. I think there must be some degree of psychic ability or mental superpower. They create these drawings that never quite look like how you would think a person looks. Like they’re always a bit weird. But then you see a picture of the actual person and you’re like ‘omg! It’s totally him!’

Glad they solved the lady's case but what about the id's they found and the idea that he might be a serial killer. What about them? This story wasn't over.

I am sure a burglars would check a night stand draw. Prob accidently found bullets and used them.does not necessarily mean they knew where to find them

With all the current murders you would think you could get some current murders. Not ones that are 33 years old. We have over 800k missing people in the USA alone every year. Time to start making new videos.

Again what does their bald faces have to do with them lying
@SkippyTheRedKangaroo

A bald-faced lie is one that is obvious, unambiguous, and readily apparent-like the visage of a person unobscured by facial hair. Bald-faced is a pejorative term, as it more specifically means shameless or brazen. Google is an amazing thing when you use it.

Is it normal for an interview of a police officer (presumed) had the background of a huge rack of firearms? Where was the interview held? Terrible choice of backgrounds. Next time, how about have an ice cream shop. Such dramatic misinformation.
