Anyone else ever watch these videos and then look at their freezer and pantry and try to ‘think like Christine’ and the Fun she would have in my freezer?! I feel like you could feed your family for easily a month on what I have in my pantry and freezer, but I can never think of the things you think of 🤦🏻‍♀️ if you’re ever in the KC Metro area, you could do a ‘cook out of a subscribers kitchen’ video, and I have the perfect subscriber for you!!!

I would LOVE it if you would do a potato video! I've never really given it much thought on what to do with which type. I mean, could I give it a Goog? Yeah, I could... but then I couldn't enjoy watching a video of you!

She actually did an Extreme Budget challenge video that was all centred around a huge bag of potatoes that she bought for I think $9.95 from memory, and so many meals during that week were potato based, so you could go back and find that. :)
@perkieerkie
@perkieerkie 3 жыл бұрын
@@alwayslearning9272 I've watched it... I mean more of a deeper explanation of what type of potato to use for different dishes. Like a russet is better for this, don't use a Yukon gold for that... kind of thing. You know, since she's in potato country and all! Haha :)

@Mike Barooshian I've cooked and cleaned my way around 3 different families but when I got sick? No one would help me get diagnosed! I tried for 15 years then I gave up... and it took the past 5 years to get healthy now I'm trying to get treated on the 2nd items that have been diagnosed and then maybe I'll try again at living life as a married woman. I've still got a few things I want to do now that my kids are grown...

Potato hack: after you chop up red and Yukon potatoes, drizzle them with some olive oil and seasoning in a microwave safe bowl, cover in plastic wrap, cut a small hole, and let it go! Stir it around and poke the potatoes and cook until they're done. So much easier than roasting if you're on a time crunch!

You inspired us to make a soup today out of all the left overs we had. DELICIOUS! I had juices left from cooking some lean ribs in a dry rub. Started with that. Had left over chicken and some corn, added a can of black beans, onion, garlic, bay leaves, seasoning, gumbo file and left over red cabbage slaw we had a week ago on smoked rib sandwiches. Had been thinking of tossing it cuz it was kind of limp... It is amazing.

Another thing to do with those Rhodes rolls is to thaw them for about an hour, roll them out and top with pizza toppings or stuff them with ham and cheese, hamburger bbq, or you could have quartered those meatballs and stuffed with pizza sauce cheese and meatballs. I always have them in my freezer because they are so versatile.
