Fruitful Trees

10 ай бұрын

This is the 3rd update from my friend Jerry's yard to see how his trees are growing. Jerry has a real fruit forest happening in his yard. He fits many fruit trees and still has room for more.
You can contact Jerry at his facebook page
profile.php?...
Also, my friend Jack from Urbandance was in this video. You can see Jack's website here:

If you have a yard and you are growing fruit trees I'd love to come and film, especially if you are in the South Florida area. You can contact me at paul@rawlife.com please include the area you are in.

@@silverfizzytake the LSU fig out of the ground. Dig all the native soil out. Put at least a 5 gallon bucket(preferably larger) with drainage holes into the hole you dug and fill it up with a potting mix. Leave the edge of the bucket about 4” above grade. Supposedly nematodes don’t travel deeper than 18” and will not enter into your soil. After taking my figs out of the native FL soil (they were in there for 2 years) they came alive and produced fruit. I know you prefer trees that are stronger but that’s what I’ve learned to do. Also have read that nematodes can be controlled with shrimp shell meal or crab meal. Never tried though.

Sounds like you know what you’re doing. Many people here are delusional thinking massive tropical trees that get up to 40ft tall with trunks 3 feet wide can be planted 6 feet apart from each other without problems. Reminds me of the Lysenkoist “close-planting” nonsense. These people clearly don’t grow their own food for a living or else they’d be starving.
