Those grow well here in South Florida as well. I grow my own Dragonfruit, passionfruit, citrus, grapes, bananas, fig, Jamaican strawberry tree, Barbados Cherry tree, I had a starfruit tree but gave it to my neighbor when it was still young. There are people down here that grow everything from from Soursop to mangosteen too. Avacado and mangoes are common.

Here in Denver, we have a market that has foods from several countries. I went and saw so many foreign foods, all I could do was just look. The seafood was fresh/alive as well as frozen in smaller quantities. I was hoping to see food here so I could go back and try some things. Only a handful were featured here.

In Mexico I had my first taste of the soursop, but they called it Guanabana. The most delicious fruit ever, tasting like candy! Also, the skin must almost rot before you can digg in for this wonderful sweetness. I find the inside most fascinating with the pure white lobs and many black pits. To me it looks like a sea anemone.

Hi I have eaten at least 15 of the fruits you have mention in this video. As born and Lived in Ceylon which is now called state of Sri Lanka, I have been a fruit lover all my life, so are my children who have passed the fruit palate down to their children. In the past Ceylon used to be called ‘Garden of Eden’ for its variety of fruits, flowers and the greenery. Please explore fruits of Ceylon. Many Ceylonese do not know or appreciate the taste of the local fruits. Eg. we have 29 varieties of Bananas, and 15 varieties of mangoes. They are rear and exquisite. Local names: Divul - Wood apple (Limonia acidissima) , Nelli - Gooseberry (phyllanthus emblica), Rata Nelli-Star Gooseberry, Lavulu- Egg fruit ( Pouteria campechiana) , Veralu - Lanka Olives (Elaeocarpus serratus) different taste from Mediterranean Olives, Damson [(prunum) damascenum)], Madan - Black plum or Jamun the Indian name (Syzygium cumini), Dan - Lilly Pilly (Syzygium Caryophyllatum), Kaju - Cashew (Anacardium occidentale), Biling - (Averrhoa Bilimbi), ambarella- golden apples or jew plums (Spondias cytherea), Lovi - Batoko Plum (Flacourtia inermis), Uguressa - the Governor's Plum (Flacourtia indica)…. ect. Many of these fruits are also used in preparing Ayurveda medicines. I have 23 fruit trees in my garden. Today I found-out from your video that the 3 Monsterella trees/wines with lots of fruits one of the rear and exotic plant. I use the leaves to decorate church alter flower bowls. Thank you again for the video. 🤗

@@frankjames6048 cool. How do u call Star Apple over in Jamaica? We call it Star Apple or caimito in the Philippines. I remember we would eat them off of the tree and had to navigate past the sap before we could enjoy the delicious meat. Sometimes we freeze them before eating them. We would wash the seeds and use them to mark the numbers on bingo cards.

Thanks for this great informative video! I absolutely love seeing and learning about foods in different cultures. I wish I could try more exotic fruits, but we don't have a ton where I live in the US. We have the more common ones like dragon fruit, star fruit, and tangelos. If you're lucky you can find more exotic fruits seasonally, but only a handful on this list. I've wanted to try the Buddha's hand for a while because I love anything lemony. I've tried yuzu kombucha before and it was the best I've ever had, but it was sadly discontinued. I hope I get to try the fruits on this list because so many sound delicious!

I used to eat a lot of Star Fruits, but now it has become increasingly difficult to find them….I miss them. Have no clue about Pomegranates, but for me these are rare, because of where I live. Most of the time I can only find them during fall/winter months, especially around October, November and December. I love these. It is very hard to find many others listed here……would love to find the Tamarillo and see if it could grow in my region…it gets very cold here, but I’m in an area where it might grow okay….👍❤️🙏🏼😇

Durian is the king fruit, but the Cherimoya is a good second for my favorite. Only a few fruits I haven't tasted, the Baobab would be nice to try out.
