My mother passed away in February and was very hopeless. One day, the video in which Sara tells the prayer routine appeared as a suggestion, she touched me a lot and I went back to praying, and it was the best thing that happened. I've been following the videos ever since and trying to apply what she teaches in my life (I'm not Jewish, but I've always admired this religion a lot). Little by little things have been getting in order here and I've been very happy. Sometimes you might think you're just making a video and that video can help someone else, as it happened to me. Hugs from Brazil. (Sorry for the English mistakes.)

sweet Suzi, 1st and foremost, i am so sorry for your loss, there is nothing that can replace a mommy. i am sending you huge hugs of love and healing i am literally crying profusely and tears are dropping on my keyboard as i type this. you are the reason i do these videos and your comment will be printed and added to my "don't stop, you make a difference " binder it is a binder where i put all the best comments: i read them when i doubt myself and think i am doing nothing good with my videos. in these moments i open my binder and i look at your precious message and all the worries in the world, all the hardships that come with doing the videos on top of everything else dissapear and i know G.od pur me in this world to help through the medium of KZfaq too in my very small way. thank you so much for your comment. it touched my soul and know that you changed my life today. The tiny feet on the splash guard are meant to be up when the guard is on the pan, and when you put it aside to stir the dish in the pan, you put the splash guard on the feet on the kitchen counter - this way your counter does not get greasy from the guard :)

As an Italian, I absolutely agree that people show their love to others through food. My nonna always told me that if love isn't a part of the cooking process, the food will taste awful. Considering I'm drooling watching you cook, you must put a LOT of love in your meals.

you are so sweet Esther: i would love to write a cookbook at the same time who would want to buy a cookbook written by little nobody me! for me cookbooks are by chefs with michelin stars or with 100s of thousands of followers! but between you and me: i would still love to write one!
@abigailphoenixthepaperaddi2501

@@frumitup "written by little nobody me". You are NOT "nobody". I'd buy that recipe book! Also, if anything, recent events are pushing more and more people to cook at home, and to try to recreate dishes they may have had at a restaurant (if they didn't grow up with them - like me lol). If you keep the cost of the final product reasonable, it will gain enough attention to warrant the "cost" of the time taken to create & compile it. Offered in various formats could work, too - a printable PDF file, e-book, as well as traditional paper. I, myself, prefer printable PDF files, as I can choose exactly what I'd like to print out. (For example, creating a lovely dinner menu from it, I'd print probably 4-8 recipes). But thats the end stuff... Getting the girls involved to help choose recipes, create recipes for their beautiful desserts, etc, could make for a great learning opportunity as well as the joy of seeing, potentially, their names printed as co-authors. Any moneys gained from this (after all) is really just a bonus, but can be used to go along with any teachings you are doing with finances, etc. You could start with a simple recipe booklet - themed may work better? (Like, "20 great Shabbat recipes"), or "15 amazing kosher desserts". I dunno, just hoping to fuel your creative flames as you have fueled so many others. 😀 But please, please, PLEASE, sweet and dear Sara... please don't feel you are a nobody in this world. Not even "oh, because how could I EVER compete with actual chefs?". Cookbooks date way way back. Some of my favorites came from little secluded churches who compiled recipe books from the recipes of their congregation & sold them, usually using one of those coil/comb binding machines with slightly heavier paper photocopied covers. They were inexpensive to make and thus, could be sold as cheaply. Also, even cheaper are the ones with staple binding, but those were thinner. (Sorry, I adore making books from scratch, but hate the coil/comb system lol). Anyway, I still frequently comb through them, because it's facinating how many different ways we can prepare food! Back to the "nobody". You are a beautiful soul, a child and friend of God, an amazing mother and wife, super-talented linguist, a SUPERB home-chef, an outstanding doctor with 4 degrees... but best... you are also a brilliantly loving and creative individual who radiates love, peace, joy, and harmony. I think its a human failing that we forget these things are what makes us a "Somebody". It's not your wealth, or your job, or how many people know you - even if you don't know them. Its YOU. Just by being your true and authentic self, you are not a nobody. And now... I'm no longer sure if I wrote all that for you... or me. Or maybe... to you, but I need to remember it as well... 🤷‍♀️

I love Morrocan Shabbat! I missed the premiere today, but this video was so much fun and beautifully done. ALL of the food looks absolutely delicious. Your veal dish looks so yummy with the cinnamon and cumin. Spices my Lebanese mother often uses in her cooking. I agree that cooking for others is such an amazing way to show love. Your daughter's ice cream pops were adorable. You have instilled a love of cooking in your daughters and that will stay with them for a lifetime. As always, Sara this video was fun to watch. We absolutely can show love to our loved ones through food. I make my family several things that they live , but I do not care for at all like-chicken pot pie, chicken and dumplings, and fruit pies and cobblers and a few other. The dessert looks so good. I will have to make it with my grands. They LOVE ice cream, especially my 2yo granddaughter. She would eat it for every meal if allowed. And to be completely honest, I let her have it for breakfast occasionally. Her “please” (with her hands clasped like she is praying for a yes) is too cute to resist at times. Also, a quick question, can I substitute another fish for the salmon? I do not care for salmon. Have a truly blessed week my sweet friend!

I love Moroccan Shabbat! Garlic confit?! I cannot believe I haven’t done this before. I have a bread weakness. And maybe a garlic weakness too. 😬 Leah’s ice cream pops look fantastic! I bet that would make a fabulous topping for a lemon icebox pie. My boys love to freeze orange juice in our ikea molds with a piece of fruit in the middle. I had to laugh when you were doing the eggplants. My boys call the top part his “hat”. They adore eggplant Parmigiana. I make them into little pizzas. They dip them in the marinara. My guess is that your hubby broke the tagine. I absolutely believe you can show love through food. It isn’t called a labor of love for nothing. Some of my fondest memories are in the kitchen or garden with my boys. They know that they can always come to me with a culinary request and it will be honored. I like to believe I am raising sons with a palette that expects nothing less than fresh, homemade food made with love. As always, sending you and your family, hugs and blessings from Texas. Ps. Your accent is very melodic. May I ask where it is from?

Hi Sara. I love Moroccan Shabbat!! Leah, today you are the star!! Your ice cream bars are genius and your decorating is beautiful!! I will be getting some of those dishes. I’m going to a cousins reunion next weekend and I wish I could make those but I have no way to keep them frozen so I’ll have to make them when I host everyone. I always get excited when your mom says that you and Naomi will be sharing so thank you so much!! Everything looked delicious but I’m going to have to try that veal dish. That one is completely new to me. The fish looks great too but I’m not into salmon. Can I use something else? Also, how long will a challah stay fresh in the freezer? As I told Leah, my cousins reunion is next weekend and I’m taking 2 challah. I’m going to look for tomato paste in the tube. I’ve never seen that. I love it. Until next week stay well and have a wonderful week. Love you much❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
