I never noticed the subtle angled interlocking blocks before. Very cleverly designed. And withstanding the test of time.

Thanks for another cool video. Yesterday I found what I just thought was a really intriguing pic of a spiral staircase. I wasn't even sure it was a photo so I did a Google search. I'm sure you know this but I found it really interesting that these star forts all over the world have the same spiral staircases. And it doesn't matter if the were (supposedly) made in the 1500s or the 1800s.

I wouldn't be surprised if water flowed through the 'stairways'. Ft Point's water elements are cemented over and lost

The last name listed on the urn, Maternus, came up as the archbishop of Milan circa 316 -328, almost nothing is known about Maternus.( according to AI, Alexa) Thanks for your work Kairos, love your detailed analysis.

I have the fairs official guide book from 1915, (archive) which clearly states the construction was concrete and steel😊. Let me open book and quote verbatim. Page 19: "The Palace of Fine Arts, directly west of the main group of exhibit palaces, and separated from it by Fine Arts Lagoon and by the Avenue of Administration, is curved in shape, the parallel arcs of its walls being 1,100 feet in length, with a great domed rotunda fronting the encircling colonnades. Close to the water’s edge, in front of the rotunda, is an altar with an attendant goddess guarding the flame of inspiration. This palace is entirely of steel and concrete, for safe keeping of the art treasures that will be on exhibition here." Ditto the 11,000 seat auditorium, page 29, and bridge at San Leandro Creek page 121. There's a ton of info in guide book to set the official record straight-ish😉
the tunnels and underground areas here are the only thing that would get me traveling to california...

Hey you guys missed a golden opportunity to interview Cheech and Chong 5:29! All jokes aside do you think there is like a metal pole or something running down the center of those spiral staircases to hold them together? You did say self supporting but I'm honestly flabbergasted by the engineering skill... even with a pole in the middle.

good chance Avrel vowel shifts into Aurel, a few other words made sense this way, which would likely stand for Marcus Aurelius, especially because another emperor is mentioned here: Vlpivs "Aurelius Wins" -- not "April Wins" lol
