"Dwemer misinterpretation" refers to the idea that the Dwemer constructed a god for themselves: Anumidium, which was embodied in Numidium. Kagrenac created his tools to manipulate the tonal power of Lorkhan's Heart. The heart, when struck with Sunder, would produce a specific tonal frequency for a certain purpose: absorbing souls. Keening would be used to direct this tonal energy, guiding the souls of the Dwemer into Numidium. Wraithguard would protect Kagrenac from this process.The Dwemer, embodied together in the ultimate soul gem of Numidium, became Anumidium and achieved immortality, until Zurin Arctus killed it. The Dwemer created automatons animated by souls, whether they were sentient or merely animal souls is debatable. Their God was created in essentially the same way, on a massively enlarged scale. This is an interpretation of what being a god means, but it's certainly not what the other "gods" are in the TES universe. In that sense, the Dwemer misinterpreted what godhood was, and could only create a false, artificial god as a result.

Mantellan portal in Illiac: Upon entering a player owned boat in Daggerfall, levitating off of the boat and across the ocean can lead you to a secret "dev entrance" to the Mantellan Crux. Taken literally, this would mean that a portal to Aetherius physically exists within Iliac Bay.

On the Gods being "Imaginary" there could be two interpretations. One is that, since the whole of the Aurbis is the Dream of the Godhead the Gods are all merely components of the Dreamer's psyche. Another is that, while a lack of belief won't kill a God, the different Myths of mortals shape how they manifest on Nirn. The Myths are like masks the gods wear or that the myths are like different shaped vessels that a god's essence can fill. I think Tomorrowind is a Dunmer city on one of the moons in C0DA Ameranth Anon Anu: Anu was born in another dream and became the Ameranth thus creating his own dream (The Aurbis) becoming the new Godhead. In psychological terms, Anu (as in the force which shaped the Aurbis) is the ego of the Godhead, what he identifies as himself. That's why we call Anu the dreamer, as Anu is the name he goes by in the dream. Padomay is the shadow of the Godhead, the parts he does not recognize as a part of himself. Both still are a part of the same mind and all the confict in the Aurbis is Anu not being able to accept Padomay as a part of himself and so fights against it. Multiple times throughout the Aurbis things are split in two: Void is split into Anu and Padomay. The et'ada are split into Aedra and Daedra. Ehlnofey are split into wandering Ehlnofey/Men and old Ehlnofey/Mer. The Aurbis is constantly at conflict with itself (another reason why Tamriel is called The Arena) and will only stop once Anu recognises Padomay as a part of himself. Then he may Dream a better dream, a new dream. Anu Dream. Atmora Aldmeris Inversion might be the idea that while Atmora is frozen in time, Aldmeris is boiling in time. I think The Catalyst is referring to an enantiomorphic catalyst, the thing which instigates and embodies an enantiomorph. Nir was the catalyst of the original enantiomorph involving Anu and Padomay. By space gods, I don't think it means outer space/oblivion. I think it means gods that govern physical space the way Akatosh governs time. In that case, I'd say Lorkhan is the space god as he created Mundus, the first physical space that all other physical realms are mimicking. On "Akavir says to otherkin: get out", it was Kirkbride mocking otherkin in the TES community by having Tosh Raka tell them to leave Akavir (which is full of beastfolk). He later deleted it and said he regrets it. Reman Cum-crackers: Joke about "I am Cyrodil come". He eats his own semen baked into food. Akavir new ameranth: if akavir is the future, then it maked sense for this tobe where the coming Ameranth is from. Specifically, people think Tosh Raka could be the Ameranth as he became a dragon (Draco-chrysalis) perhaps signifying he has become the new Time dragon for a new dream (since Akatosh was the first spirit that allowed other spirits come about). Anu's remorse: I think that is the idea that Anu (as in the dreamer before he dreamed) killed his lover ( represented as Nir) and "slept behind the sun", thus making the aurbis. Padomay is Anu's shadow (the parts of himself he doesn't identify with or actively reviles) so he is cast as the murderer. He can't accept the guilt and so externalizes it as his "brother". The whole dream of the aurbis is born from this guilt a remorse, as that is what made Anu sleep and caused his internal schism (interplay of Anu and Padomay) CHIM quantum witness: reference to observer effect. Measuring a super position collapses the super position. The entiomorph is a super postion. Both parties are equally matched, so can determine who is the ruling king and who is theif? You need a witness to collapse the superposition and labelwho is who. In the case of Morrowind, the witness was Vivec deciding who was who in the conflict between the Nerevarrine and Dagoth Ur.

Red shifting is basically the Doppler effect but for light. When an object (usually a star or galaxy IRL) is moving away from you at relativistic speeds, the light from it takes longer and longer time to reach you. Hence the object appears to turn red as it gets farther and farther away. The opposite of that is blue shifting, when an object is approaching you, and since the light it emits gets “crammed up” it appears to turn more and more blue. So Master Red Shift would have been the Usain Bolt of Magna Ge, who dashed off of Nirn so fast he achieved the above mentioned phenomenon.

Reman hearing REMAN be called across time makes sense when you believe his first words were "I am Cyrodiil Come"

If no one has mentioned it already, A Mara was a mythical creature in Scandinavian/Germanic folklore, written as Mare in old English and is the origin of the word nightmare in English. It was a wraith-like creature. So I'm pretty sure one about NightMara is simply a play on words.

The image for the bottom tier, with the Morrowind dialogue text, is from the obscure 2006 Morrowind mod "Morrowland", which is a massive worldspace created by 2 modders, populated with celestial beings like God, Satan, bizarre dungeons with alien geometry, walled castles, and even towns. The text in the image is from the player's conversation with God.

Kind of dissappointed on Camel's joke take on the Sai Sahan quest in the Markarth ESO release, because that quest had some big new lore implications and Camel just sounded like he whiffed the whole quest as a random sidequest with hidden sex jokes. That quest basically revealed that Red Eagle of the Reach was a Sword Singer himself, although you end up finding his sword in Skyrim as a physical blade, and it was he who taught Rada al-Saran how to get his sword back after Rada lost the art himself. It is also implied that the whole Sword Singing art wasn't actually native to Yokuda, because Rada al-Saran himself was born in Yokuda and he sought out Red Eagle in the Reach for help after hearing rumors of him and his blade, so either Red Eagle must've learned Sword Singing by himself or somehow Yokudans had made contacts with the Reach before and taught him the stuff (which doesn't make too much sense given what is known of the Yokudans back then but it could totally be possible). The quest also further showed how Sword Singing could actually be interpreted in a literal sense, since Red Eagle had written down the sword summoning technique as song verses and by singing the song (or rather following what Red Eagle taught in the song) both Sai Sahan and Rada al-Saran were able to summon their spirit blades.

Speaking of Pelinal shouting Reman, there's a possibility that as an elf-hater he just said "Light of Man" in the common language. And then centuries later people read that he yelled "Reman!" and associated it with the guy who's name it became. It's definitely a more boring option.

45:40 The Almelexia/Underking connection is pre ESO, and comes from the Arcturian Heresy: "The Dunmer are too strong now. Wulfharth goes underground to wait and strengthen and reform his body anew. Oddly enough, it is Almalexia who disturbs his rest, summoning the Underking to fight alongside the Tribunal against Ada'Soom Dir-Kamal, the Akaviri demon. Wulfharth disappears after Ada'Soom is defeated, and does not return for three hundred years." I was VERY upset when they changed it to the Skald King and/or the Greybeards summoning him in ESO, because I loved the idea of Almelexia somehow magically forcing him to fight for his (at the time) greatest enemies, who were using his Heart to be gods. I love how petty it shows Almalexia can be.

I believe the "Elf Sightings" entry *might* be referring to an Oblivion loading screen (IIRC) that mentions Ayleid sightings in the forests of Cyrodiil. I remember reading that while playing and actually going looking for them...

The 500 hundred companions were all ship captains; there weren't just 500 guys. It was 500 ship captains, and all of them had their own crew. I don't know why people think it was just 500 guys the guy that made Jorrvasker was one of the 500 companions named Jeek of the River, and it said he had a crew of 22 men but never said all of his men were considered Companions. I think people just take the legend at its word, but after learning about Jeek, I just assumed that the 500 were whatever the atmorian equivalent to lords and their retainers, so it was the 500 companions and all their men/crew.

Worn and weathered note is a meta meme from the developers because in Morrowind the whole world is basically an ocean and the note is written by an NPC who fell out of the world borders/under the textures into that ocean and his experience just floating there unable to return. Edit: not exactly confirmed by devs but an opinion of a Russian content maker with whom I agree on this, the dude just feel through the map and gone insane.

Bah you guys are reading the old OId Iceberg, the new one from months ago which is curated by the deep ones from a daedric tabletop general imageboard got some neat stuff Like the Noxmer night elf text from deviantart that predicted the Snow elf Lore from Skyrim along with Noctural's lore in Skyrim too, and that text was from 2007

Rockcreek was a small town which, due to the random generation they used for towns, randomly had the way in blocked by a building, and because of the sheer number of towns it wasn't caught and shipped, so in the next game they wrote the book explaining that the town had been cursed by a witch. The wombat is to make it clear that this is not meant to try and fake like that was serious and real but instead nod to how silly it is that they borked that up. Ya'll need a Kirkbridian daedrologist, you should bring me in. I'm not the most well versed but I can definitely explain Kirkbridian metaphysics without breaking your head and I'm much more familiar with his stuff. It's my opinion that Kirkbride is sort-of having a long-form religious conversion out loud through his art, and Morrowind was basically always his love letter to Hinduism without him even realizing it. Part of the key to understanding what the hell he's ever talking about is knowing about the real-world mysticism and animism and spiritualism and religion he's drawing from. Like, they basically asked this hippie to convincingly explain god and he took this job seriously, and the process of writing his bit of Morrowind transformed him into a bit of a lunatic, which would be the proper word for it, since his madness definitely involves moons. But that isn't to say it's incomprehensible jibberish or otherwise invaluable. Not many people manage to create a rebel canon. His stuff may be over the top but at least it's not cliche trite like what Bethesda likes. If you give it the benefit of the doubt and learn how to parse it you'll find it laden with strange meanings worth considering. And if you invite me around you won't have to because I've done it for you. Already made it through those sanity checks.

1:33:30 I think the Hero of Kvatch = Pelinal theory more has to do with the similarities in both of those heroes stories. They are both champions to a would be emperor and go on crusades against an enemy, the Ayelids in Pelinals case and the daedra in HoK case. Then there is the direct connection with the HoK actually defeating Pelinal's acnient foe, Umaril the Unfeathered. And finally both heroes have a connection with "madness", The song of Pelinal vol. 6 describes Pelinals relationship to madness and the HoK goes to the Shivering Isles and becomes Sheogorath the embodiment of madness. So both figures seem to have a lot of parallels in their stories is what that theory is alluding too.

the pig: Chevalier Renald, a remnant of the Dragonguard and possibly a Tsaesci, was said to have supported Talos under the orders of a "pig." What that means is completely unknown, and MK doesn't elaborate on it when talking about this section (even going as far as to disavow the mention of a pig in the text). He does mention a pig "ever ready to speak" in the intro of the unreleased Shonni-etta, before going on to repeat several times that "that pig is never going to speak." What any of that means is anybody's guess, and it is unclear whether this is meant to be a literal pig, an epithet for an orc, some sort of metaphor or any combination thereof. The character of Chevalier Renald appears as an NPC in ESO, and there is still no mention of a pig in any of the player's interactions with him.

A Coda is a symbol indicating a jump to a secondary part of the song. So the first run through a section you'll use one ending, but then repeat it using a different ending. They're both part of the song, but they use different notes.
