I've been replacing fuel filters on DD15 for two years now and I always had to pump the primer pump 20 million times to get it to start because I was doing it backwards and taking caps off at the same time. Hell yeah man good tip!

Great information also Make sure your fuel\ water separator is full before pumping/priming .

We use a priming machine to prime the fuel filters. It attaches to that fitting in the side of the filter housing

We do also. However drivers that are doing the work themselves, dont have a priming machine

You made that look easy. I can’t get the filter out. It is STUCK and since I can’t twist it because of the port on the bottom I’m not sure what to do. I don’t want to break it. 🥴🤬

Someone else mentioned that, and the response was to use a pry bar or big screwdriver to pull it straight up and out. 👍 Hoping I won't have the same problem.

I have that same setup on my 2015 cascadia dd15. But can’t find the water separator. It doesn’t have the large canister for the davco. Shouldn’t it have 3 fuel filters

As far as I know, those units were retro fitted

I forgot to prime it it started but got 2 yellow lights one says engine and the other it's only on

More than likely it coded for low fuel rail pressure.

I got same service light and codes for fuel filters After replacing fuel filters its still there will it go away on its own or codes needs to be erased with the computer
