One thing I really appreciate on the X-Pro3 is how the shutter speed dial feels. On the X100V it is really stiff and clicks harshly making me not want to use it and instead use the rear dial to adjust shutter speed. It feels a lot nicer on the X-Pro, but if only they had the click up to adjust ISO feature of the X100V.

That’s so true. I’m glad you pointed that out. I also would prefer the click up feature instead of having to hold it up and turning it at the same time.

I have an xpro 3. Love the size, ovf, controls. And the fact I can change lenses on it. As you said, the 27mm makes it a small package. Somehow I just love using it!!

Yes whenever the prices go back down for the 27mm I’m getting that lens again. Such a good combo!

@@BCPCamerasTech or maybe the new version with aperture ring? Insane that in a kit with an xe4 it is so cheap...

Both I'm sure are really great cameras, but after watching some videos on the X110V, then I would really like to get that camera one day. I've tried a lot camera brands, but it's really hard to beat Fuji. The enjoyment of using those cameras just makes you want to shoot more.

Hey great video! How do you work with the vintage lens and the focus on the OVF on the xpro3? I have pentax analog lenses, but i don't have any fuji lenses. In terms of image quality are both cameras the same? (23mm vs pentax vintage lenses.)

There’s definitely going to be variance in the rendering depending on the lens you use. But I do believe the sensor is the same in both cameras so if you had the Fuji xf 23mm f2 on the xpro 3, you’d get similar results. If I’m using the OVF, there’s a digital magnification box at the bottom right hand corner that I use to check focus real quick.

Let me say something: I am totally in love how you say these passionate things so easily and comfy. I totally agree with you. I own also an X-Pro3 and the user experience is awesome, it feels like an analogue camera from another time period... And at the beginning as I mentioned, what a lovely way, you talk about your passion. thanks for this. May I allow for some improvements for the future: Could you please be so kind, and write under the photos the settings? That would be so good :-) Thanks bud. Well done!

Excelent point of view i have the x100v and i do love this camera but im thinking to get the x pro 3, can i ask what software are you using to develop the raw files i find that adobe lightroom is not so sharp like the jpg files from the camera ! Thanks for shareing
@BCPCamerasTech

I utilize Lightroom but I have heard of Fuji shooters preferring capture one for the way it handles the Fuji raw files. In the end, I think if you can tinker with the sharpness setting in Lightroom to create a general Fuji preset to apply to your raw photos, it ends up looking like the in camera jpg. Just an extra step.

I own both an X100T and X-PRO2, so same spirit here, and I keep both, and I love both equally ! The 23mm mil is a focal I use a lot, but I'm happy to switch focal lengths with a 35mm mil, or a 50mm on the X-PRO2. The ergonomics of the rangefinder style Fuji cameras is what motivates me to shoot, taking the time to compose, and I don't use the LCD on both cameras, so I'd be very happy with a X-PRO3 too !

Great vid! Hey, have you checked out the new voigtlander pancake lenses that are native fuji x mount!?!? F2.8 18mm (28mm) and an f2 27mm (40mm). Manual focus with a focusing tab! Perfect for your xpro3. Makes it tiny!

The only thing x100v wins over the xpro is portability and a better 23mm. Any other reason the xpro wins.

For me it has always been about the focal length. I owned the original X100 alongside the X-Pro1 and liked the style, image quality and portability of the fixed lens camera, but very often felt constrained by it. The notion of adding a teleconverter seems rather ridiculous to be honest - if you want several focal lengths then just go out and buy an interchangeable lens camera. If there was a 28mm (equivalent) version, I'd admittedly go for that, but Fuji seems reluctant to go the whole hog in mimicking Leica, although is about 75% of the way there already. The truth for me is that if I could afford a Q2 I'd buy that instead of any of the various Fuji offerings. It's probably never going to happen though, but on the plus side recently the X-E4 has exceeded my expectations as a cheaper alternative to all of these variants.

Great point. I made a separate video about the telecoverters and the 28mm one isn’t that big. But I totally see your point. I should try the xe4 one day. Heard great things.
