As someone who's used and loved a Fujifilm X-H1 for making KZfaq videos for several years now, I was excited to see Fujifilm finally release it's long-awaited successor. How does it hold up to the original? Is it enough to keep the competition at bay? Let's find out...

that's an interesting review as I just got my hands on an X-H1 to pair with my X-T2. The X-H2S is clearly out of my price range, but it's always good to have an understanding of where potential upgrades sit :)

Nice review! I've had my H2s for a few months and at first, I missed the dials from my T3/4. I've programmed some buttons and I'm adjusting well. IMO, it's Fuji's best camera to date. I shoot mainly wildlife and sports so the S is for me. 40fps is insane. Combined with the new focus modes, it takes a lot of work out of tracking subjects.

Oh boy, are you going to be happy with firmware 3.00. Significant AF improvement to an already good AF system.

Nice review, Griffen. At some point in the future, I may choose to upgrade from my X-T3 camera bodies.I do candid event photography & sporting events. I believe the “improved” autofocus would be a most welcome addition. Fuji still lacks behind Nikon, Sony & Canon, IMHO.😊

Hi, quick question. Im a beginner filmmaker (student (small budget)) and im not sure if its better investing in an used xh1 for 600 bucks and have money fore lenses and equipment... or to buy a xh2s for 2.5k!? Is it really wirth it?

If you’re going to use autofocus, you should save for the XH2s. If not, then it’s up to you if the additional features are worth it for the work you do. If you aren’t already invested in a camera system, it’s also worth looking at the Panasonic S5II. It’s cheaper than the XH2S, full-frame, and has some very impressive specs.

@@griffensander thank you so much for the answer, I do want Autofocus but i will definitelly look into the Lumix! The only reason why I would like to stay in Fuji is because I film a lot with my dad and he has a fuji xt3 and its easy to colormatch that way...Do you think this would be a problem with the Lumix? And do you know if you can use S35 X Mount Lenses with the lumix? I got so many questions but im excited to look into the s5ii now!
