How do one open use the dummy battery without removing the door i see there is a small clip one can open on the xs10 but i wont open on mine is there a special way dont want to force it dan break

Yeah I opened that little flap . It's pretty rigid but, it does move out of the way with a little bit of force.

Can you use the USB-c connector on the 3168 to power the X-s10?

Yes it will power it but unfortunately it's not a PD port. So it will just make your X-S10 battery drain slower instead of keeping it at a steady voltage. Now if you get a dummy battery with a USB c port on it . That will work better .

@@TwoTimesRmedia to the camera, but I have two female ends from the 7.4v from the battery and barrel connector from dummy battery. So I have to female ends on the barrels and nothing to connect them. Is the dummy battery a 7.4 in size for the male connector ?

Just realized your dummy battery has the male end in the video, mine only has a female end which is what through me off. I’ll have to get a connecter for it, thanks a lot and great vid!

Lithium ion batteries do not suffer damage from frequent charging. Just plug in a power bank when resting the camera in a vented camera bag.

You can use this as a power bank also but along with say powering your camera you can power something like a monitor also. I just think you are introducing more heat with a battery constantly charging while using the device . This camera will shut down on you if you introduce more heat .

I haven't had my X-S10 ever over heat . I only shoot 4k 24 100 Mbps .

Do you record for a long period of time? I have a recent experience on a wedding. The setting was outdoor and it caused me to stop recording because of the overheating issue.

@@DarkandGreyStudio I record for a few hours at a time. Especially when I have to keep having to redo my takes. I've done some shooting outside here in south Florida I have seen the warning but never had it shut down. How long did you shoot before it shut down and what video settings are you using or are you taking a lot of burst shots in Raw?

@@DarkandGreyStudio I feel that if you are experiencing overheating this setup may give you a tiny bit of longer shooting before overheating. Also when I shoot my videos IBIS is usually off .
