FujiFilm X-T1 Sample Images. What Can This Camera Really Do?

I bought the FujiFilm X-T1 mirrorless camera in 2020 and in this video I am going to show you some of the amazing photos this camera has captured. Photography has always been a passion of mine especially when film was still being used in everyone's camera. Though I was a child I still remember my first film camera and how I couldn't wait to see what my photographs looked like when I got them back from the developer. I hope you enjoyed this video. Hi everyone, I need to clarify something. In this video I say because this camera is mirrorless it has better dynamic range. That was a mistake to say that. Dynamic range really comes down to the sensor and how it is made and how the camera processes the information it captures. What I really should have said is that this camera in particular has really good dynamic range. Sorry for the mistake.

I love the XT 1 so much I bought three of them at at low prices before they got rediscovered and the prices went out of control. I use vintage M42 Takumar lenses, Konica, and Russian lenses on them. All resulting in beautiful images that the newer lenses can not reproduce.

I am still using my X-T1s to this day and loving it. I actually bought the X-T2 and X-T3 and returned them both because I prefer the IQ of the X-T1. It is a great camera.

@user-im7td3yu9c I agree with you it is a great camera, and have heard the same about people selling their X-t2's and 3's and going back to the X-t1 because it was their favorite. I am so happy I learned of this camera and picked one up for myself. Thank you for sharing! I love the vibe! Kris

Awesome video! I have an X-T1 that I almost never use. This weekend, I photographed a baby shower, and for my own amusement, I brought the XT-1 to shoot monochrome(only). I was very pleased with the results. I couldn't get the EF-X8 flash to work, but I figured it out later. Keep shooting!

@Freeman Burgess Thank you so much I really appreciate it! The X-T1 is a great little camera, its amazing what it can do. I bet those images came out really nice. The sensor can make everything feel real moody and it gives each image some really nice contrast and Depth that gives the images a dramatic feeling. I find myself using the the exposure compensation dial to help tone down light in the image, and its nice how you can see a live example in the EVF. The flash was a little confusing for me as well at first, but I'm glad you figured it out. Thank you! I will keep shooting. Thank you so much for watching my video and becoming a subscriber! A good photo is taken by the photographer... and not the camera... the X-T1 is more than enough. A good meal is made by the cook and not the pan! But how we allow ourselves to be manipulated by the industry! Greetings from a Swiss living in the Caribbean❤

@rolandgasser6711 You are so right! I completely agree. The XT-1 is more than enough. The industry just needs to create something for the competitor these days, and not so much for the photographer. Yes they are fantastic at what they do but the old cameras are still very capable. I feel that all the new technology takes the fun out of photography and working for your images makes it all that much more worth while because its rewarding when you see the story that you captured because of your skills. That's exactly what happened to me too! How much resolution does a 35mm film have compared to digital?

@rolandgasser6711 What happened to you? I'm sorry I don't remember what I said in my video right off. According to some articles that I have read 35mm film has a very high megapixel count compared to digital, depending on the film grain. 35mm film has so much detail in it, that you would have to look under a microscope to see all the detail. So Film even today is in some cases superior to digital because of this factor. There are cameras now that have reached 100 megapixels so that high level of resolution can somewhat be achieved, but you are going to pay a pretty penny for that kind of camera. This is why I wish film was still a very common type of media to shoot photos with because the quality and resolution that you can get are beautiful and unmatched. Unfortunately it isn't used as much anymore and the price of a roll of film has climbed to a striking high price per roll. It's a very interesting subject if you get into the research and read the articles online. Thank you for watching my video. Kris

Oh it was in my description. I thought it was something I said in my video. Yes it was always a hopeful surprise as a kid when I got my pictures back from the developer. My first camera was a Vivatar single built in lens film camera. Then my mom bought me an Olympus stylus 100 film point and shoot for my birthday from the camera store. I was the happiest kid. Makes me miss the film days. She used an Olympus OM1n SLR film camera. Still have it in the closet. You're welcome! If you you have any other questions let me know! Its been nice talking to you! @owo2528 You will love the Fuji X-T1. It is a fun, lightweight, fantastic mirrorless camera. For its age it has many features and has the exact same sensor as the X100s. Some have compared the X-T1 to the Canon 5D Mark II, which was a top of the line Cannon Full Frame DSLR not that long ago. Kris

Dynamic range has nothing to do with mirrorless or mirror camera systems. It is strictly related to the image sensor and image processing. Btw. If you want to do night photography I would advise to buy a much faster lens like f.2 or faster, Viltrox has decent inexpensive f1.4 lenses

Why are you using such high ISO in bright sunlight????

@msturi2002 Hi, during this time period California was actually getting a lot of rain, so as it may appear to be sunny outside in the photos at the beach, it was actually very dark and overcast. So, I bumped up my ISO to make up the difference in light. I was also at the time testing out the camera, just to show what it can do in these type of situations, to show that even with a higher ISO there wasn't that much noise if any at all. This camera is very capable of shooting in higher ISO's when you need it to without having any loss of sharpness due to noise. It makes it so the use of a tripod is not needed in many situations.
