I have had the Fujifilm now for about three months and I use my ex T5 mainly for landscape photography, which might surprise people how good this is for landscapes. The dynamic range and colour science of this camera is amazing for landscape photography. The level of detail in the 40 megapixel sensor also makes a great for landscape photography, and don’t worry about the fact that it’s crop sensor, thinking you will lose dynamic range. I have been shooting, epic sunset and low light photography with this camera and it handles it really really well. I cannot really fault the camera too much and I have done some portrait work as well and a number of other different Photography jobs and it is handled everything I’ve thrown at it. My tip would be to put an L bracket on the bottom and there is one particular L bracket that actually has an extra grip on the front as well and it is outstanding. There is nothing that I really can fault in this camera at all and this will be my camera for a very long time. I wanted to go smaller because I love hiking and getting out into nature and switching over to Fujifilm from Nikon has been the best thing I’ve ever done. Thank you DIMA FOR your videos I really enjoy your videos all the time. I also like the bigger compensation dial because you can be looking down at the screen and you know where that compensation, Dilys and you don’t even have to look at it. You can kind of be using it without looking at it.

Ive had the xpro2, xt3, xe3 and xe4 as well as x100f. Xt5 improved on all of those and is my fav camera from fuji so far. Face and eye af have improved dramatically. I never use video so I could care less about that.

Yes, the AF is better than last gen but still needs some improvements.

I got rid of mine, the build quality and Autofocus are just not there, and my X-T4 had freezing issues as did my XH-1. So done with Fujifilm and invested in the Lumix S5 II series of cameras.

Thanks for the review. One question: why would you use the uncoated UV filter (the red filter)? Don’t you get glare?

Thank you! It is not an uncoated UV filter, it is a diffusion filter from Moment.

The XT5 is a great camera. I had it for a month, but due to the AF, I sold it. If Fuji ever releases that FW update that improves the AF, I will rebuy it.

Great video and advice to make the best out of this camera! My copy of the X-T5 also has that screen wobbling issue and I assume most X-T5 units have it. It does not bother me and I only noticed after watching your video. However, I could not find the same problem on my X-T30 so I hope it can be fixed by tightening a few screws, fingers crossed!

Yes, they improved the autofocus since this video but not by much. There is a big update coming soon, I hope that makes it better.

How did you download the iso on video to 125 since I have my fuji xt5 he didn't let me download it from 1000

Hello, If you record in Flog2 that is the minimum ISO, 1000. To use ISO low as 125 you need to record using film simulations like Eterna.

Trying to make up my mind whether this is a good replacement for my beloved X-T3. (I don't do video at all!)

It's definitely a good replacement it's just whether you want to spend the money. For me the battery, ibis and ergonomics made me very happy with my upgrade. I also like to crop to 4:3 and the extra megapixels allow me to do that and still have about 30 MP. image.

If you have lenses that take advantage of the 40 MP and you feel you need extra resolution, better battery life and IBIS, your answer is yes. If you need to invest more into lenses then stick with your X-T3, it's a great camera and the difference in resolution is not that big.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. May I ask, what is the lens you are using for the video shots on XT5 on this videos? I noticed it is anamorphic, the landscape shots are quite wide, and interesting.

It is not an anamorphic lens. I used the Laowa Argus 25mm f/0.95 and the Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 with the Freewell K2 filter system and blue streak filter. With the blue streak filter you can get anamorphic flares on almost any lens.

Was your AF issue only when you were using the 33mm? I only ask because I've had my camera since launch as well and on two or three occasions using the 33mm, I absolutely couldn't get the camera to focus on something extremely simple and contrasty. Each time it happened I remember thinking "wow, what's up with that?" because it was something like a restaurant sign that had lots of detail to focus onto or it was a statute - all in good light too. The most recent AF blunder came at an airshow where I tried to use AF-C on a mostly stationary aircraft that was hovering. I was using my 70-300 and it just kept going in and out of focus and never locked.

I had the AF problem with the 33mm, 35mm f/1.4, 16mm f/2.8, 27mm f/2.8, Viltrox 13mm f/1.4 and the Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8. So I think it's the camera.

@@AndreiDimaReviews you know if you mention ANYTHING negative about Fuji autofocus in a Fuji group you’ll get destroyed by Fuji users. LOL! I hope they can get it fixed in firmware. Oddly enough, my X-T4 never had this problem and your the first I’ve heard mention the same problem I’ve had with my X-T5.

Have you seen back focusing with the X-T5 and the Tamron 17-70? My Tamron always focuses behind where I have the autofocus point, enough to throw focusing off.

No, I had some problems with the autofocus on the X-T5 when using the Tamron lens, but I had them with all lenses. Did you update the lens? It works better after you update it.

@@AndreiDimaReviews Tested a different copy of the lens at my local camera store - I have a bad copy of the lens. The one from the store worked fine. (And yes, I updated the firmware).

I‘m trying to figure out whether the screen wobble is a problem with my X-T5… it moves a little when I press my finger against it in a fully extended position… but is this a bug?

If you need to press on to one it, I don't think it is a problem. Mine is just a bit loose.

The AF on the X-H2s is still better, more confident and precise. But the AF on the X-T5 is pretty close.

Hi sir, just wanna ask. Is there any possible way to exit extra crop 1.14x on video mode (FULL HD 50fps)? Becasuse on XT4 there's no additional crop 1.14x but XT5 got. Maybe there's some settings that I didnt figure out yet. Thank you for your time

@@AndreiDimaReviews Unfortunately, no. With bad autofocus ( all fuji have one) it cannot compare even with Sony a6000. Almost any camera on a market has better af in photo and video
