Nice POV. Fun fact, I used to see the X100 as a “limited” gear considering that I was somehow afraid to be stuck to the 23mm (35mm FF) so I made the effort to move to the xpro3. No regret at all but the fun fact is that the XF23f2 is mounted most of the time on the xpro3 what makes me now wonder, aside the flexibility that I decided to pay for, if the X100V is not indeed the perfect gear price/usability to street photography. I can travel for sure with a 23mm only, all the other lenses I do have are a “nice to have” and, of course travel wise, is nice the flexibility of a zoom but I do have a lot of fun with the 23mm. Congratulations for sharing

Hey! Thank you so much I really appreciate that. Going from DSLR to mirrorless is such a game changer right?! I find the best way to get used to manual is to just throw yourself in at the deep end, through enough practice you’ll know exactly how to adjust your settings 😁

Nice pics - plus this simulation is very good, I’ll give it a try. My favorites are the portraits of the artists and his red sketchbook. Again as a beginner I really appreciate that you explain your process and settings (x100v user). Pace and walk and your voice are relaxing. If you need a bit more reach with the X100V try out the Digital Tele-Converter setting, it actually does a really good job of cropping then upscaling the image. I was trying it out today.

Your pictures have that 35mm perspective instead of a 23mm. Do you crop your images? I've the 18-55. And I can't decide wether to get the 23 or 35 prime.
@petergoddard1960
@petergoddard1960 3 жыл бұрын
The X100 range lens is a 23mm (it got an update on the 'V' ) but on an APS-C sensor thats a 35mm equivalent in full frame terms. There are a number of 35mm lenses for the X mount. It's a 50mm equivalent, so a good generic lens, personally I'd go for the 23mm (again 35mm equivalent). The 18-55 is a really excellent lens so you need be in no hurry, it covers your bases really well. Probably one of the best 'kit' lenses out there.
