I spent 3 quick days with the newly announced Fujifilm X100VI! Will it step up to its very famous, very viral predecessor the Fujifilm X100V? What's new? What can it do? Can it replace my current Fujifilm set up? All this and more, I try to answer in the video!
Re pricing & availability:
X100VI is expected to be available from Fujifilm dealers early March 2024 at a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $1,599.95 USD and $2,159.99 CAD.
X100VI Limited Edition is expected to be available directly from Fujifilm commencing in late March 2024 at a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $1,999.95 USD and $2,699.99 CAD.
In the PH:
The Fujifilm X100VI will retail for PHP103,990 and the X100VI Limited Edition will retail for PHP130,990.

it did get hot as i was shooting the aroll but was able to shoot 31 mins 4k 12gb footage without it shutting down so I’d say thats not so bad!

You requirements are similar to mine. To have smth small and comfortable to use in travel. And 23 mm lens suits me because I have x100t but this one is more about photo. And I've realized I want to create video stories. And now I am going to buy a new camera which I am going to use for video in travels mostly. And I am choosing between the x100vi and the x-20s. What would you choose? Exactly you.

hiiii for travel, id go for the x100vi - nothing beats portability! it should be ok for short video stories! only reason i have xs series would be for longer form video production like youtube vids etc. personally getting this cam for my travels as well!

yung internal ND filter (simula pa sa Gen 1 na x100) tingin ko hindi sya real or physical na ND filter kundi in-camera processing na lang tulad ng film simulation filters

i think for broll and sit down aroll super goods na sya in terms of quality but like i said for walking and talking and vlogging, if mahilig ka sa ganong shot, wouldnt recco for that.

no one said it would! cameras are just tools - end of day they dont make the devisions to take the shots, you do 😀

Got a used xe4 with the new voightlander pancake 27mm… it lives in my coat pocket because it can. It’s out with me all the time. That leads to better shots. The X100VI how shoots 10bit HEIF in addition to 8bit jpgs, technically those are better shots! 😂 The x100VI allows you to export 16bit tiffs now. My workflow is using fuji x Raw converter to export shots with the film sims baked in, plus any exposure or WB corrections. Then I add grads and vignettes with masking in LR. I used to only be able to do 8 bit jpg exports. Now the x100VI will let me export 10bit HEIFs or 16bit TIFFS. Again, giving me better shots…😂 I shoot in DR400 all the time because of better highlight retention. That used to require using iso640. The new x100VI sensor now bumps that to 500iso! Hence, giving me…oh you get the picture! 😂
