Recently I got a great deal on a Fujifilm X70 camera. I've wanted a copy of this camera for some time now. The reason this deal was so great is that the LCD is functional, but smashed. In this video I do my best to replace the LCD with a replacement I bought from AliExpress.

There was a blue dot on my x70 lcd, so I looked up the video to replace it. I saw this video uploaded recently! It is the only x70 lcd replacement video. Thank you so much. I'll try to fix it myself.

Thanks. I encourage you to try yourself. Be patient with the process and don't rush. Also the sticky tape they use is really sticky.

Hi I follow all your steps, and found the most difficult part was the ribbon connector(big one), spend a lot of time to find the unlock and then reconnect and locked (that was another difficulty). bad eyesight for tiny things (not for senior :) . I have to use magnifier. Finally it was assembled and work. Thanks for your video.

I'm glad you got it working. I also had a bit of trouble with. the ribbon cables. My eyesight is also not the best, but I do have patience and that comes in handy. Cheers!

This is fantastic! I spent two years finding a top quality x70 on eBay then my son knocked it off the shelf and broke the lcd. Fujifilm in UK no longer do ANY repairs to the x70. So I shall be following your excellent tutorial to repair it myself. Bravo!

Thanks man. My lcd flipped 180 degrees and frozen :D forever. Not very usefull for frame comp. so i just removed it and add externel viewfinder. Maybe i'll try to do same as you> But not sure if it helps or i need to replace also michro chipe on it where all lcd cables plugs in. Anyway. very useful video. )

Glad I could help! I've also swapped out the LCD on an X-T2 though I never made a video on that one. The basics are all the same.

I really don't know. I've changed the LCD on my X-T2 and it was similar, but not exact. For that one I also had to remove the back of the camera and replace the ribbon cable as well. They are all fairly similar. Try looking at iFixit and see if anyone has done a tutorial for your specific model.

Could you use similar tape to reinstall instead of the glue?

If you can find the tape they yes. If I was able to find that kind of tape I would have used it instead of glue

Have any videos for x100t screen replacement? Im thinking of trying it out on mine since I barely use the LCD anyway.

Sorry no I don't. I used to own both the S and T versions of the X100, but I sold my X100T in 2019. I did replace the screen on my X-T2 back in 2020. For that I had to remove the entire back of the camera so I could replace the cable too. It required undoing a couple screws that were underneath the rubber grippy parts of the camera. Though I doubt the X100T would be the same. Good luck with it!

My x70 screen works perfectly fine but the touch feature are not working, is there a cable specific for touching feature I can check?

Im not absolutely sure, but I think the tiny ribbon cable is the one that handles touch screen. It looks to be permanently connected to the screen. Its possible its become disconnected, or maybe something on the touch later has gone bad, and a screen replacement would fix it. Im just guessing here.

Yes, the new screen looks and performs just like the original.

The touch screen works, but the LCD screen does not turn on. I don't know what the problem is. please help 😢

Hi Mikey. not sure what I can do to help. make sure the ribbon cable is inserted correctly and not damaged. I hope you tested this before using glue to reassemble it.
