Part One of my coverage of my experience at the Fujiya Avic Spring 2019 headphone festival! Many thanks to Shima-San at Emilai, Tsubone-San, Uena-San, Douglas at STAX, and everyone else who helped me out at the event.

If you want the AKG K1000 listening experience, get the new MYSPHERE 3. It’s by the same designer of the AKG.

The SR1A is better than both of them. From what I gathered.

I have to feel bad for the Mysphere team. They worked their ass off to improve on the K1000 and were successful only to be overshadowed by a product coming out of left field.

@@OriginalMindTrick Did they actually deliver an improved K1000 though? I heard the MySphere 3.2 on various high-end sources, and I thought it was characterized most by its inability to transfer any level of energy into your ears. Like the SR1a, the fully open design from the MySphere has the inherent limitations of course. Yet the SR1a manages to deliver a musical presentation, and the MySphere just doesn't deliver. The less there's going on in the music, the better for the MySphere. Just don't demand anything from it, I guess.

Come clean with us, Lach, admit you were thinking that deep down, your hairdo was clearly better than Shima-San’s, but he resoundingly bested you in tie clips.

*Say Audio-Technica* Drop everything else I was doing. Interesting video. Btw if you have time I would recommen you to drop by a Yodobashi, That was my favourite shop in Japan, mostly electronics and at least a third of a floor only of headphones you could all try. I had a lot of fun in there just testing high-end heaphones ^^

I must be one of those weirdos who still loves earbuds. The Chi-Fi boom has been great for that corner of the hobby.

If Stax does not make you look ridiculous enough enter the SR1a and still no Bass to speak of ...... If you have $3000 to blow may I suggest Focal Stellia's
