Sony mdr 1A is the best headphones i ever owned nice base with no distortion and lightweight and very comfortable and sound great on a cheap small fiio amp. I still use the headphone for over 6 years well made and never had any problems with the sound. Sounds to me your used to tinny sound headphones but i like the low end headphones like the old days back in the 70's when speakers was made for low end for radio and valve tv sets today's headphones are on the high end frequencies lacking in base with to much treble

I have the same problem connecting my amp to the computer speakers using the 3.5mm audio out , I tried a cheap USB to 3.5mm DAC and it helped with the background noise. Sometimes I still get a quick buzz . I am going to try your little expensive gizmo , hope it eliminates the noise completely

Higher bit depths only really make a difference in the production process, if you wanna manipulate the files with things like time-stretching...

Wouldn’t it make more sense if I just buy xlr/tsr noise isolator and be done with it? My 4090 has insane coil-whine and it comes through via USB C going to my Focusrite.

In the last 5 years I've been replacing most of my music collection from mp3 to hi-res (bitrates above 1500 etc.). You're telling me I did that all for no reason? 😢
@BalboaBaggins2 ай бұрын
You didn't address the hi-res feature? Kind of the whole reason most people buy it.

Does anyone know how it recognizes hi-res files?

I absolutely love this album not only for the comedy but the beautiful musicianship and production. Heidecker is a master of dry satire. If you enjoyed this album you should definitely check out "on cinema at the cinema" if you already haven't. Though I doubt anyone stumbled on this album without knowing about Heidecker's other projects. Also, great analysis. I have noone to really discuss the beauty of this album with so this was refreshing(though not so much as a tall hot glass of foamy piss).

Do you have any recommendations for similar headphones that are just as breathable, over the ear and Bluetooth? Preferably with the ability for both but definitely need Bluetooth. Thanks

What I wounded up doing is gathering up all the tracks that appear in EoE from the S2 Works release (basically every single track that was worked on for Neon Genesis during the 90s), since those have zero clipping and have just very slightly more dynamic range, too. I also included "Everything You've Ever Dreamed" as a bonus track since that was gonna be one of the songs used in the movie.

I think the distortion present with the amplifier will increase. Only the sound level will increase.

I really enjoyed your review of these 3 as I was trying to find one of these, no luck with the HD7 or HD8 but I found a good used pair of HD6 mix that I purchased. Good thorough comparison review.

Would have been nice to hear the Rode VM Pro boomed where the Sennheiser was and recorded into the Zoom. The Sennheiser sounded good, bit a bit too much self noise, not sure of it was the mic or the recorder at this gain level. The NT1 stole the show, I love this mic, proud to have one.

I need to ask just to clarify. I have an audio interface (Focusrite Scarlett 2i2) connected to my laptop by the USB port. I will connect the iDefender to my laptop and the USB cable of the interface. Do i need to connect it to a power suppy?

Musician here, IEMs are supposed to be very clear and neutral, most people will think more expensive monitors sound worse, that's the point. They accurately show all the mistakes in your playing, so you can play better live. They don't color the tone at all. They aren't for listening to music, no IEMs are.

Yo! hope my comment finds you well. I was looking through your videos, I understand that you make reviews for recordings. But I have a idea for you. The Gaming community is huge, and they are always complaining about audio. for example, not being able to hear footsteps. now, everyone is starting to shop around for earphones over headphones. maybe you could give us your take on which earphones would be best for gaming. food for thought. either way. thank you for your time and videos. TC :)

If you look up Pictocosmos on you tube you'll find a gentleman who adores sea monkeys and shows you how to take care of them. He's a Professional Nature Photographer from New Zealand and has even made micro sea monkey tanks just to test the theroies out on how small they can go.
