Full 5km Descent on Alta Badia's Ski Run 9A: Pralongiá (2,157m) to San Cassiano

The Alta Badia Ski Run 9A is categorized as a blue run. It is one of the longest ski runs in the area and it is really easy. On top of that, you can always see the Sas dla Crusc and Conturines massifs right in front of you, so the entire run feels like being in a theater watching an amazing nature documentary. Danke für das schöne Video mit herrlichen Ausblicken auf grandiose Berge der Dolomiten . Kreuzkofel, Lavarella, Conturines, Lagazoi und am Schluß auch noch den Peitlerkofel. Hoffentlich kann ich diese Abfahrt noch öfter fahren.

Yes right, it's the perfect carving ski slope. If you push it all the way to the end you can really feel your thighs burn 🔥🔥

First off all congratulations on your beautiful videos and for sharing with us !! Second your kids are marvellous and very good skiers and they will become perfect in some years !!- All the videos that I ve watched from yesterday on my TV were fantastic and very enjoyable to watch them !! We ski’d this today - first time skiing above Corvara and this area - stunning !! Fantastic - best days skiing I’ve had in long time and quiet too for the most part 👊

Hi Igor, yes Piste 9A is a lovely run but I'm a bit shocked that you could pass the excellent Ütia Saraghes without calling in for one of their super thick hot chocolates, so thick you can rest a teaspoon on the surface without it sinking! 😋 P.S Our group of snowHeads had a great lunch at the Usteria Posta last week, many commented later about the excellent food you serve, and thanks for posing for a group photo with us. Alastair

@@spullar-strecker1271yes, it's less than 5 minutes walk to the Usteria Posta from the bottom of the chairlift that goes up to La Crusc/Santa Croce. From the bottom of the chairlift station you cross the main road, walk down a few metres and then there is a footpath on the right that leads down to the Usteria Posta. 😀

Pista non impegnativa ma troppo bella! Ho apprezzato molto anche la pista del sole fatta di mattina. Potessi fare un'altra settimana partirei subito!

I'm just back from another splendid sunny Fasching-week in San Cassiano. The Piste 9A is my "Hausabfahrt" , a fabulous Panorama. :P I wish they bring back the Piste 9B slope though on the right side of the Pralongia Hütte. Do you remember ? A very beautiful piste!!!! Any Idea how one could achieve this? The pistenkilometers go back bit by bit in Alta Badia, with now also the red piste 21A cancelled towards the Pralongia I lift and the Piste 10 often not prepared. (Although now in Fasching week it was open) Best Wishes!!!!!

9B is on a constant moving landslide so they stopped preparing it. Especially the last section, before reconnecting to 9A, was the problem. And for the others remember ... if there is snow ... just go through, those are nice off-pistes runs 😉

Bello in bici ma con gli sci e tutto un'altra cosa caro Igor almeno io preferisco questa versione della discesa. Sarà una pista facile ma con questa neve bellissima, questo cielo azzurrissimo ed il panorama mozzafiato sul Lavarella ed il Sasso Croce (per me la più bella parete dolomitica) il video è stupendo. Grazie

Beautiful video. What do you think, will there be enough snow in Alta Badia in the week of 24.2. - 2.3.2024? The forecast is calling for quite warm. We have booked accommodation there near the La Cruscs 1 lift. Do you think most of the slopes will still be open during this period?

Sure, everything will still be open until Easter. We have a really good packed snow base in the Dolomites this year.

Hy Igor. Muss mich entschuldigen, daß wir heuer überhaupt nicht zusammengekommen sind. Am Sonntag, als wir ankamen, warst du mit dem Schnee am Dach beschäftigt und an meinem Pausetag am Mittwoch warst du nicht da. Muss gestehen, daß ich heuer gesundheitlich ziemlich angeschlagen war. War die ganze Woche verkühlt. Aber die Piste sind wir 3 Mal gefahren und sie ist einfach ein Traum!!!! Sie gehört ja zu deiner Alta Badia Ronda!

Non chiedere all'oste se ha il vino buono 😂😂😂 Quella di casa ovviamente, il Santa Croce tirata da in cima fino in fondo 😉 Poi come seconda secondo me é la pista A di San Cassiano, quella che segue l'ovovia.

It is the ski run 9A until 3:29, then it is 11. What happened to the rest of 9A? Is it not in use any more?

Just after the junction continues on the right. Ages ago it was also possible to turn before right but that's not possible anymore as it's all a landslide terrain
