He was a great athlete but as a [true] Christian, we shouldn't be idolizing or worshiping any human regardless of their talents. We shouldn't be creating images of anything in the sky, land, or water because people begin praying for good luck and giving it false worship like some religions give statutes that do not see, hear, or speak. Jesus never asked his apostles or his followers to create an image of him when he was gone to keep their faith up. Those who unfortunately have fallen asleep, are not in heaven looking down smiling, those are lies generated by movies and false teachings that those who do not read and do not understand what they read, will believe because they enjoy having their ears tickled-being given false information that benefits the person giving the lie and the one receiving the misguided relief. *The Bible is the greatest tool for truth* that God gave us to use to teach others in all things. It's our human guidebook to put us on the correct path to get the most out of life and live happily without lies and respecting one another. The Bible teaches us that no one went to heaven before Jesus came to earth… Meditate on that for a moment and read what is written at John 3.13: “Moreover, *no man has ascended into heaven* but the one who descended from heaven, the Son of man.” Meaning, that everyone in the past born and died before the death of Jesus was not sent to heaven. Jesus resurrected the dead back to earth, he didn't send them to heaven otherwise the scriptures would've noted this and we would read it in the Bible. *Who goes to heaven?* Only the ones with the upward call-the chosen ones who will rule as kings alongside Christ over the earth. 🌎 👑 Read Revelation 5.10. I know you did not ask for this explanation but we shouldn't write comments that we do not accurately understand or know to be true from God's wisdom. Spreading such things makes us accountable like the false prophets teaching lies to the innocent. Only one deserves exclusive devotion and it's not Kobe, it's Jehovah God. Even his Son Jesus prayed to his heavenly Father Jehovah and made his name known. Take care and be ready for what is about to come-the Great Tribulation.

@@Fotosynthesis858the Bible teaches us that the dead know nothing at all. (Ecc 9.5) This means that ghosts do not exist. Demons are very clever and can speak as our dead ones and why many believe the dead are still alive in some spirit realm. We must be [careful] with the words we use to not keep spreading lies and have others and children believe such false teachings. These actions will hold us accountable for making the innocent stumble because of our lies.

That 62 pt game was amazing he did that in only 3 quarters. He probably would've scored 81 that game too if Phil didn't bench him for the entire 4th.

Kobe said he benched himself. Byron Scott begged Kobe to finish the game so he can possibly can catch wilt or make his own mark in history. Kobe told Bryon I'll have the opportunity again. That's how the 81 game was born.

Kobe was a tremendous player. He could hit 3 pointers with ease, snake the lane, do a fade-away . . . . You name it. The one thing that is a part of who he is - is what he did to a young woman in Colorado. Do you have a sister or a daughter? You have a mom. What he did is beyond bad. So let's be clear: the statue is about him being a great player. It has nothing to do with the character of the man.

@tiffanylockett59503 ай бұрын
@@LrgPicture This person is trying to be wacky and say "Major" with a black slang "twang", and those of us with any personality can easily understand that. But, back to your point [because on this beautiful video honoring Kobe is not the place to have typical fights and combative banter], Kobe is not mentioned as THE Goat in that particular conversation because he _emulated_ THE Goat. He imitated that person, and ACHEIVED it, but then you can't say that he's _the_ greatest if he's the copy of _the_ greatest. Even though he is a *successful* copy of the greatest. What Kobe did learning from, studying, and mimicking The Goat is nothing short of absolutely incredible! And Kobe does now and has long before gotten his respect! We recognize Kobe as ONE of the greatest, yes, but they place him just beneath those who inspired him for a reason. Kobe is SPECIAL! And he did play with that Kobe energy that was all his own. But when speaking of THE Goat, that comes down to only one (or two in some people's opinion). And that's only because the truest, best basketball minds [those who, in our culture, we call "Ol' Heads"] will always take emotion out of it and be honest! And even that is out of respect. Kobe is UP THERE with the greatest players to ever live. One of the greatests to ever hold a ball or play the game. But even he, in the time just before his death, would admit that he was coming AFTER those who he looked up to! But, don't get us wrong, just because Kobe arrived on the coattails of and _after_ the greatness of The Goat, it doesn't deminish what we know he's done and just where he Arrived TO! It may be a long time before or perhaps we may never, ever see it again with a player that rises to that level, ALL on their own passion, dedication, and mojo AT ALL! So, believe me, Kobe gets his respect & recognition and Kobe is perfectly placed. He HAS Gone Down As One Of The Greatest Of All Time! ✨ And that's harder to attain and more special than you know! You know? It's Beautiful. And the greatest thing about that is he knew it (our view of him) while he was _alive!_ And now look... he's getting his own statue! So... he lives forever. We will celebrate him forever. ✨🥹😊
@tiffanylockett59503 ай бұрын
@@drk.i.a.2969 Actually, it is noteworthy. That alone may not qualify him to be *THe* goat, but that is noteworthy. Because MoST guys DoN'T stay with the same team their whole career. So you can say "a lot of players" do, but we know that among the greats and beneath them, the majority has and will move around. [Many at no fault of their own though.]

The biggest crime in modern day media history is the constant artificial brain wash of this lebron 24/7 constant wash cycle. How and when did lebron ever pass Kobe in the goat debate? How? Watch Kobe. Study this man. He was special. Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant were two of the greatest competitors we have ever seen in our lifetime.
@ian_ford3 ай бұрын
Because it's a fact. I have LeBron #3, Kobe #6, similar to many other media lists. LeBron avg more points, more assists, more rebounds. He is a more efficient scorer from the field, and from 3. He has 3 more NBA MVP's, 2 more Finals MVP's. Kobe has 1 more ASG MVP, made 12 All-Defense teams to 6 for LeBron, has 1 more career buzzer-beaters than LeBron (8 vs 7), and 2 scoring titles to 1 for LeBron. But...that doesn't outrank everything else I mentioned on an *individual* perspective. Now, if you want to discuss *team accomplishments* like championships, that's just one component. Just like from 2004-2016, LeBron was 16-6 head to head vs Kobe led Lakers. But if that was the end-all-be-all, Bill Russell is the undisputed Goat with 11 rings, case closed. But we know that's not the case for a lot of reasons.

Jordan was everything but as the years went on they became best friends and Kobe got better and better and I said, he's gonna be the goat. He to me is the goat because he only had 5 but it's his off the court mentality that made him the greatest. Love you Kobe. I’m 45 yrs young. Ive played this sport practically my whole life. Was a fan even longer. I truly feel so lucky/fortunate and not worthy to witness unarguably the best basketball ever in history. From the mid 80’s to the 2000’s was simply the best and most amazing basketball ever. Strategically speaking and team chemistry wise. Fundamentally amazing. Players played their roles. Unselfishly. But efficiently. Extremely driven. Teams were actually coached by a COACH. Players listened. Players were coachable. Trust between the coaches and players were genuinely genuine. Just incredible and intense basketball. Kobe was the last of that breed. Truly missed. These are way past overdue. Kobe deserved this while he was here….. in the flesh….. This is disappointing for a franchise like the Lakers. But I still have to remind myself that the lakers since Mr Buss passed has never been remotely close to what it was when he was the one in charge. Congrats Mamba….❤️🙏🏼✊🏼
