I am a huge Raps fan for starter. Glad to see Demar go. I believe in game two against Cleveland he had 0 rebounds. How in the hell are you the supposed best player on the team an allstar in the league playing on a team that had the second best record and fighting for your playoff lives against Lebron who has signal handling beat your team every year and you have 0 rebounds. Plus he has some of the best ups in the league. How do you not have one rebound? This is unacceptable for the amount of money you make. Pack you shit and get out.

Basketball is a team sport. Everybody scores, everybody rebounds, everybody plays defense. In the same game Lebron had 8 boards Lowry had 4 boards. Being the number one guy and having 0 rebounds is unacceptable. Why do you think he got benched?

It’s not even the trade that’s the problem. As a player you always have to keep in mind that u can get traded. It’s the fact that he was told he wasn’t gonna be traded and then traded the same week.

Man throughout this interview you can really hear the hurt in his voice. Ujiri really liked to this man’s face, and tried to cover himself and say “we’ve given them many chances”. One more year of failure in my opinion. And then it would have been ok to trade him or blow up the team? In 2013 Masai said "I owe it to these guys to give them a chance" So for Demar to say no chances were given is weak. Year after year was awful. One year he shot 30% from the floor and 15% from 3. Time to take a risk on something else

TMac wasn't really good on the Raptors. Orlando is when he really broke out. I'd argue Bosh was a better Raptor than DeRozan, though.

agreed. but honestly i never feel like he's reached his peak yet. always felt he could've been our kobe if he could get past some of his mental blocks - always believed he could be the best rap to play but vc was a killer too. both = respect.

The gotta make a no trade clause max deal, let more guys be able to put no trade clauses in their contracts but lower the max amounts said players can get paid so the owners will go along with it. I’m sure plenty of guys would be willing to sacrifice earnings for security. Or you can take more money but have the possibility of being traded. Derozan didn’t get that choice.

I'm very impressed with Demar Derozan. He is intelligent, articulate, loyal & he gives his all. A truly big hearted guy whom I hope thrives with the Spurs. He can look back at his time with Raptors and say he and his teammates accomplished a lot there. He brought a lot of joy and love to Toronto.

Gosh.. this is soo sad to watch. Can see the hurt in his eyes. My 9 yrs old son still wears his jersey. I was so sad when I heard he got traded, and still wish he is still a Raptors. He will FOREVER be the BEST RAPTORS !!!! You will forever be missed!! All the best and success in your next chapter.
