So glad you reviewed this brand. I’ve been eyeing it and never tried. I mainly have interest in the lip pencils (always hear good things), and the Miracle Balm has intrigued me since day one - but struggle to figure out what the heck I would do with it 😂

I was pleasantly surprised. This is the sort of every day makeup that I can see myself reaching for. The balm is interesting but I would like one without shimmer. The pencil is nice and comparable in price to the LE

I agree with you that Miracle Balm works best for "no makeup" days, to just pick things up. From reading comments (compulsively), I think the hydrating JR products work best for people who don't actually like to wear makeup. Also (both WTF and MB), you really use the tiniest amount you can imagine, or it will get sticky and annoying.

I've been using it in that way. I like it best when I'm not wearing much else. It's definitely a brand for people who don't want to wear a lot of makeup.

Thanks so much for trying this out and sharing your thoughts. As much as I love Bobbi Brown, I’m not sure this look is for me (though it looks beautiful on you!) unless it’s a hot summer day. Bobbi says she developed this so we could all be natural beauties as we age but she still dyes her hair so… anyway, thank you so much. This was so informative and much appreciated!! ❤

This is certainly a "less is more" brand. I don't always want this type of look, but it has a place in my collection. I'm happy to have tried the brand, but I know it's not going to be for everyone. 🤷‍♀️

I like the brand. Now that I am retired, I don’t want a full face of makeup up. Now I can use the eye brown pencil, a face pencil, Miracle Balm and I can be ready and out the door.

That's what I like about the brand. It's a great way to slap on a face and get out the door quickly. I use the products on my non filming days. I'm obsessed with the lippie stick!

I've been waiting for you to try this brand! I use a lot of their products already but wanted to see how you used them. I find the miracle balms (have them in several shades) are the best at making the skin look and feel hydrated all day. As I got older, make up tended to settle and look dull but the miracle balms really helped. And I just ordered the lip balm as well to try. Agreed it feels unexpectedly like a chapstick but the color really stays!

I have been really enjoying the ease of use these product offer as well as the minimalist approach. This was my first time using them, and I feel like I've gotten better over the last week. Oddly enough, I'm reaching for the brow pencil a lot. Didn't think I would. I really like the face pencil because it's not dry but doesn't need to be set. I really enjoy the single shadow and the bronzer. The lippie stick has made it into my purse for constant use. I'm very surprised. I might want to pick up a large size of the miracle balm without shimmer in it.

Looks fantastic on you. The lip pencils are really good as is the lip and cheek stick I use the miracle balm as good for 60year old skin to blend everything together and glow

I bought a Jones Road Miracle Balm two years ago and didn’t like it at all! It felt heavy and tacky on my skin. It also had a smell to it that was a little strong. The feel was so off-putting that I threw it in the trash. I haven’t tried anything else from them because of it. Wasted $50! I’m glad you like the products!

I'm glad that I didn't get a large size in this shade. I'd use one without shimmer more. I don't know that I need to have another one yet, but I'll continue to see how it goes with these products. Thanks so much for watching today. I totally understand why you would skip other products from the brand when you didn't have a good first experience.

Mine had the worst medicinal herbal smell too, I’m surprised you didn’t detect a smell in yours maybe the smaller ones they use less essential oils and all that? I do love the color of Flushed, it’s so pretty and just a gorgeous cool rosy cheek for year round but I have to wear it on cooler days because the stickiness is way too much in the heat. I like Jones Road but alas I do not think the brand was made or geared towards me with my oil slick skin lol. Great thorough and honest review !

@@christiecruzxo2841 I didn't notice a scent at all with the balm. 🤷‍♀️ Perhaps my sense of smell isn't working as well as it used to. I know Bobbi created many of these products to work for mature, drier skin. My mom is in her 70s and still has very oily skin. I don't think that this brand would work for her. I'm starting to notice that my skin is getting drier, but I still have plenty of oils in my t-zone. We'll see how these so in the heat is the summer.

Thanks so much for watching and subscribing. I try so much makeup, and know my own personal preferences well enough to know what will and won't work for my based on a product's description. (usually) I feel like there are many good products from this brand, but I think it's better for the minimalist and someone with drier skin. A lot of the products have a heavy dose of hydration. (foundation, balm, lip and cheek stick, ect.) I held off on trying the brand because I wasn't sure how to use the balm, and it's such a hero product from the line, that I wanted to make sure I had the opportunity to use it as well as other products to their fullest capacity. I hope you have better luck with your upcoming makeup purchases from JR or any other brand. Thanks again for making the time to watch.

I love the WTFoundation. It had little dry flakes in it. But I complained and they sent me a replacement. So happy with the service. The new one is much smoother. I love the miracle balms. Didn’t at first because I was using too much. Less is more. Wasn’t too keen on the powder blush. It’s quite strong. Face pencil is a little dry and leaves stripes under my eyes. Not for me. Cheek and lip stick is great. Mascara is great too. Love the eyeliners. Also have the liquid glossy eye shadow. But it irritates my eyes. So I have to put it on my hand first and use a little brush so it’s much less. Looks pretty though. xx

Thanks for letting me know how these products work for you. I've been thinking about picking up a different shade of miracle balm. Not sure sure yet, but . . . I've been very happy with the JR products I've tried. There have only been a few that were just "meh."

I appreciate you trying this brand. I have been curious because Bobbi Brown vitamin enriched face base is my favorite. I am too chicken to try Jones Road, but I might try that eyebrow pencil... 😮

I'd been curious for a long time. Ever since they only offered the miracle balm. I just wasn't sure how the products would work for me. I was pleasantly surprised. JR it's very different from BB. JR feels more "clean girl/woman" and BB feels like a traditional, established makeup brand.

I really like Jones Road. I have the WTF and several of the Miracle Balms. I have very dry skin and these products really look good. I did toss a mini miracle balm with sparkle, but the dusty rose and the Miami Beach are really lovely.

I wish the miracle balm I received in the kit didn't have sparkle in it. 🤷‍♀️ I like how it feels in the face, but the shimmer particles aren't my fave. I think this was a successful foray into the brand. Thanks for watching.

I have a few Miracle Balms and I like the colors and the minimal effort aspects of them but I have not figured out how to, or if you can use them over a foundation without it getting patchy. I also still at 59 have oily/combo skin and these give a little more shine than I need sometimes. I wish JR had some tutorials up. The ads make it look very easy but I still have the problem of the MB moving my foundation. Maybe using a brush would help.

I'm not sure how best to use the Miracle balm yet. I love the idea of them, but still need some coverage over the rest of my skin. If I'm putting the balm on top of foundation, I use a sponge/brush/fingers and pat it on. It still can lift some of what's below, but the lighter the patting motion, the less likely I am to disturb the product. I also find that distributing the product over my fingers/in a sponge/ or in the bristles of a brush before applying it to my face makes the look more successful overall. I have worn it alone on my bare face over SPF a few times. I do like it.

I like it better as a pick-me-up on a day when I'm not wearing foundation. For me, the WTF is the one that I do use a lot -- I ended up exchanging the Miracle Balm for the lip/cheek stick, which had a texture that worked better over a foundation. (They were great about the exchange, but I think you can't do it with the kits.)

@@creativefierce I really like the formula of the lip/cheek stick. I didn't think I'd like the color in bright pink, but it's so pretty. I wanted to pick up the shade Miami Beach in the MB, and I might still. I'm intrigued by the idea of a non-glittery balm. 🤷‍♀️

I have way too much mascaras open. I am looking for the next favorite mascaras. I have been collecting trial and mini sizes. That bronzer/ blush is so pretty. I haven't tried anything from the brand. I am interested for sure. Have a great weekend ❌️ ⭕️

Enjoyed your review! Always loved Bobbi’s makeup style, and her namesake brand back in the day. So I was thrilled when she developed Jones Road… unfortunately, I’ve not found anything from the brand that I really like.

@@thelipstickgal I’ve tried the Just a Sec eye pot (way too glittery), the face pencil (too dry & hard to blend for my dry, sensitive skin), and the What the Foundation (it was a train wreck for me, and I really tried hard to make it work). I feel like there was something else, but I’m not sure what. I hadn’t tried the mascara or any of the lip products. I know many people love the brand/products, they just didn’t work for me

I love this brand but not every thing is for me. I like having the foundation in hand I think it’s useful for really dry skin days. The mascara, the bronzer and lip and cheek is my recommendation to anyone with combo oily skin to try. I’m curious about the new lippie stick, looks like it would be great for everyday. ❤

The lippie stick is very firm, but occlusive. I like it, but I'm sure that many people will want something softer and glossier. I already have tons of soft, shiny lipsticks. This is different, and I like it. I wore it all day yesterday and was at happy with how it wore. I think that the foundation isn't for me, but I wouldn't be opposed to trying a sample/smaller size.

It's certainly a specific point of view from the brand. It's usually exactly what someone is looking for, or the worst thing they've ever tried. It seems like a very polarizing brand. 🤷‍♀️

I've really been interested in MOB beauty or salt new york. I just can't chose which one would be better for me (dry, pale cool olive skin, 38 with some fine lines). Has anyone tried both and can give an opinion on which is better?

I have more salt NY than MOB beauty. The MOB cream products are bit stiffer in texture while the Salt NY is more emollient. I would recommend salt for dry skin over MOB. Just my two cents. I do like how long the MOB wears. I have to touch up the salt more throughout the day. That might be helpful information.

Ive liked a few things from JR but nothing has really made its way into my daily routine. The bronzer was pretty nice though p/u a bit too much on the brush and can be stampy which incidentally i found to work better on a lighter /no makeup base. The eyeshadows were OK, eyeliner was too dry. The liquid bronzer was probably the worse offender for me because it didn't want to blend with anything else on my skin or sit down. I thought about trying the lip liners because its the formula i like but the high snh threshold always puts me off so i think i need to stop myself from trying more lol

I know this brand isn't for everyone. These products aren't going to work for those who want a look of "more." I can see myself using these in a day when I have minimal time. I'm curious to see how they work with other products. Thanks for watching today.

@@thelipstickgal yea i think its meant to mainly work with the line and not as much with anything else. For me if i want a less is more approach i stick with concealer and like a cream bronzer like chanel, otherwise i truly feel like ive put nothing on ha.

I hope you like the new lipstick. I can't complain with my recent lip purchases. They've all been good. Some get more use than others, but none are duds. I think the balm would work well if you have dry skin. I wouldn't put this all over right now, but as I get older my skin gets drier. In a few years, I might enjoy it all. 🤷‍♀️ I like the bronzer, but I'm not sure I like it more than the new RMS or the Gucci bronzer.
