I’m sure you’ve heard of this website, but thriftbooks has a lot of good secondhand books. All of the ones I have gotten were like new. Love the video!!! Love seeing people use older makeup!!! I used to post the awkward moon emoji all the time, but don’t really have a ton of uses for it anymore 🌚

I love seeing older makeup, it's fun to be inspired again by the things that used to be so hyped. Also I feel you on the sports colors - I can't wear green and gold here for the same reason (or red on certain days for the college games.) Spoon or fork question is a good one - I def prefer a fork. I'm all about stabbing stuff lmao.

I graduated from cosmetology school from Aveda in August, I have not tried to find a job in that field yet, I’m terrified, but I want to do it. My daughter graduates next week from Aveda too, so what suggestions do you have for getting past anxiety and learning more while working? My biggest fear is working with other women and it being a dramatic, catty atmosphere. We both want to go somewhere together and eventually get a small loft area together ❤️ we just have more to learn and it’s so intimidating

Honestly i feel like having anxiety at first is part of it! it’s going to feel weird & uncomfy for awhile but you’ll learn to adapt & get the hang of it. & if you hate your salon environment you can always try another! good luck!

I genuinely can’t remember if I’ve mentioned her before, but have you tried reading Robin McKinley? She’s one of my two favorite authors and I just looove her books. My top favorites are Deerskin (parts are very dark, but it’s about healing from what happens), The Hero and The Crown (original fantasy) and Spindle’s End (a retelling of Sleeping Beauty with active female protagonists). A lot of other people really love Sunshine, her vampire story, which I like a lot too, I just don’t reread it constantly like I do the other ones. My other favorite author is Peter S Beagle, who’s most famous for The Last Unicorn and A Fine and Private Place, about a man who lives in a cemetery and helps ghosts cross over into the afterlife. They’re both absolutely brilliant (and not kids stories, despite the 80’s version of Unicorn) and full of depth. Any time I’m going through something rough, I pick up one of them to read again.

This look is so toastyyyy!!! I am also a morning person, and I need to get back into journaling and planning stuff out on paper. I used to be so good at it and then my life kinda got derailed and I haven't resumed it. Also the shimmer on your lids reminds me of this mary kay cherry cola liquid shadow that I was obsessed with in the late 90s early 00s. I know it isn't the same color, but on camera and with the brown it looks similar.
