Please say they’re showing the first fight because the rematch was one of the worst fights of all time. Hopkins spoiling and diving on the floor outpointing a Roy Jones that wasn’t even a shadow of his shadow

As usual, Hopkins spent the match head butting just as he's done all of his career. Not condoning Jones' illegal punches, but Hopkins wasn't hit hard in any other them, yet he milked the time outs in all incidents, and giving a very over acted performance in regards to the illegal blows.

The later years of their careers were so different. Jones was so incredibly fast in his prime, he could neglect the fundamentals. When he lost his speed, his lack of defensive skills became apparent. He's been knocked stone cold so many times I can't remember. In my opinion he has permanently diminished his legacy. Hopkins relied more and more on his fundamentals. He knew how to frustrate his opponents. He also knew which fighters to face, and which to avoid. He'd fight the weaker champions in the division. The top guys like Dawson and Kovalev could -- and did -- expose him. But when it was abundantly clear his skills had gone, Hopkins retired on the spot and stuck with it. I remember after the fight they asked him why he'd retire, and he said because he had said he would before the fight. I'm sure it also bothered him that it was the only time he was ever knocked out.

Roy Jones Junior was unbeatable in his prime. No fighter would have come close to his power, speed and cat like reflexes, but as noted by others on the comments he failed to to change his fighting style to a more defensive style when he lost his reflexes and speed. This was apparent in the Calazaghe fight, where he stood square on in the corner getting tagged not taking anything away from Calazaghe. This was the same in this fight but he survived the punishment due Bernards Hopkins age.

Overacting Hopkins. The low blow of Jones is not strong to send Hopkins to the floor. He also gave low blow to Jones the earlier rounds but Jones didn't over react. What he wants, I think, is a deduction to the opponent.
