Bang on, I’ve come back to watch it again before tonight, being fare to Taylor he won round 2 9 and 10 like we all saw, but that’s being really fair. Jack kept a good head on him throughout, even Ben Davidson can be heard saying we are behind - championship mentality now. Kell Brook states he has Taylor up. Almost as bad as when Young Hatton got handed the W for one of his first pro fights, a total disgrace. Anyhow - let’s see what Catterall brings tonight, I think Taylor will be on his A game but to me, Catteralls style gives Taylor problems every time. He’s not as stylish or as good looking but he’s slippery and can put combinations together. Looking forward to this one. Catterall deserves this one tonight, I hope he comes to fight.

Round 2 and 11, are the only close rounds I gave to Taylor, some people have round 11 10-8 Catterall, some have round 2 10-9 Catterall. All I’m saying is if you give the two closest rounds of the fight to Taylor then he wins. I’m not scoring every round for him, most agree that Josh won rounds 3, 7, 9, 10, and 12. But act like a fight that was 7-5 is a HUGE robbery.

I feel like Catterall won the fight but it doesn't mean that I've lost ANY respect for Taylor as a boxer or a man. He didn't score the fight. I still believe that he's the best British boxer, anyone can have a off night where it just doesn't happen for them. We all know that Josh Taylor is a world class boxer, he's proven it over and over, against the best in the 140 division. I thought beforehand that he looks like he's struggling to make weight now, as he looked gaunt and withdrawn at the weigh in and he was sluggish from the start. Moving up to 147 was always the next step. At least he's said that although he's more than likely moving up that he would still fight Catterall again, but at 147. If Jack thinks he's the best at 140 then when Josh vacates the belts he'll have no problems with Ramirez or Prograis when it comes to winning them will he. Like I said tho, I think it was a bad day at the office for Josh, I do believe that he would beat Jack in a rematch, at either weight, and that Jack would struggle, but possibly win, against Ramirez but I don't think that he would beat Prograis. He rose to the occasion and fought the best fight of his life, I don't think that he's as good as Taylor or Prograis though.

I never seen a Catteral fight before so can't really say how much he rose or didn't, I definitely preferred watching the Prograis fight for adjustments and battle of wills

I still believe that Josh is the better boxer of the two, I also believe that Jack has a bit to go before being able to achieve what Josh has at 140. I have watched a few of Jacks fights and I warned a lot of mates beforehand that he's no mug, I didn't forsee a performance like the one he was able to put on but I still feel that something wasn't quite right with Taylor. I'm not making excuses for him, his past fights from Baranchyk to Prograis and Ramirez have proven that Josh is a world level fighter. Josh has been in the ring with 4 ex-World champions and two current and won out each time. I look forward to seeing him at 147.

That score has Catterall scoring 10 every round (10 x 12 -1 for the deduction), so therefore his opponents score won't typically be higher than 108 (9 x 12) 106 with deduction and knockdown. The only way to reach a figure of 119-113 is if you are saying 7 rounds were draws. Which I don't think I've ever seen in a fight and if that IS what you are saying after watching this fight your scorecard skills are less than amateur. Don't take offense at that though because according to the OFFICIAL score cards, 1 judge had Taylor winning 8 rounds and another had him winning 7.....absolutely bonkers.

Spot on. I had it 116-112 Catterall, but I did score 3 of the rounds 10-10 as they were so messy. If I'd given all those 3 rounds to Taylor, I'd have had it 113-112 to Catterall as well. There's no way mathematically that a Taylor win can be justified, purely based on what I saw and how I scored it.

They must of had their faces stuck into Mac and cheese, burgers and pepsi if they had that result down as a Taylor win. No way did Taylor win that fight.
