Abortion has existed since the European colonization of the Americas, during which there was no abortion law at all.
From the 13th to 19th century, by the common law, abortion was legal before quickening. In the mid-19th century, abortion was widely practiced by American women, primarily by using abortifacients which are herbs and substances that induce abortion.
The first abortion law was codified in the state of Connecticut in 1821 that forbade the use of poisons in abortion.
By the early 1900s, abortion was made illegal in every state, some of which included an exception for pregnancies that put the mothers in danger.
Over the next several decades, despite legal punishments, abortion continued to occur, mostly underground.
In 1964, Gerri Santoro, an American woman who died due to an illegal abortion, became the symbol of an abortion-rights movement.
By 1972, abortion laws were reformed nationwide.
In 1973, the US Supreme Court repealed all existing criminal abortion laws with its landmark Roe v. Wade decision in favor of "Jane Roe," holding that a pregnant woman has a fundament right to abortion.
In the 1992 Planned Parenthood v. Casey, the Supreme Court while upholding the Constitutional right to abortion, overturned the trimester framework and articulated an “undue burden” standard.
On June 24, 2022, both Roe and Casey were overruled by the Supreme Court in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization on the ground that "the Constitution does not confer a right to abortion,” marking an end to the federal abortion rights and returning the authority to regulate abortion to individual states.

In Armenia it is 22:27, in France 20 :27 and in America It is 1872. Time zones are crazy(your channel is a gem btw. I came hee 1 yr ago to make a history presentation and now watch for pure interest becuz the videos are so good)

Quickening was not 4-5 months into the pregnancy as this video asserts, but rather 40 days (for boys) or 80 days (for girls) after conception -- in both cases less than 3 months into the pregnancy.

Most of your videos are great because they present facts in an unbiased manner. Not so with this one. So many facts skipped on both sides.

The court didn’t “abolish the right to abortion.” It said there never was such a right to be found in the constitution. A legislature can create and abolish legal rights, but a court may not. The Dobbs decision held that Roe was in error in reading into the Constitution a right to abortion where none existed.

If you are lucky he will tell you which programs he uses for the animation. There are several out there and lots of way to do it. Remember though, animation takes forever to do, even when using programs that help along the way. If you have a video editor that allows you to pan and scan and zoom in and out, you can do most of what happens here, but not all of it. Good luck.

From in the womb, there's the unborn cry to a mother who can not hear. That will for life and happiness that one day may not be there. To feel alone without knowing the love of a mother's touch and care. Her hopes, her dreams, of what life is. But without this child there. And when the darkening hour comes, I hear the unborn's cry. To a mother who has totally forgotten the life, she holds inside.

@@jenniferwebb5954ot all pro lifers agree with everything the GOP does. In fact there are a handful of pro lifers who are even Democrats. I lean center right however I agree with liberals on stuff like getting rid of the death penalty, having universal health care, sex education, and improving foster care. So yes I am pro life. Not pro birth. As for school shootings this is where I lean more right, I don’t believe that gun control is the answer. Criminals don’t get guns legally. Gun control doesn’t stop bad people from getting guns. It only stops good people from getting them, which makes the situation worse. If you really want to stop school shootings, then maybe have security in schools, or allow teachers with proper training to carry guns in schools. I also don’t agree with teachers indoctrinating children in schools with pornographic books and teaching about sexual orientation to 6 year olds. I think it is disgusting that teachers would propagate their world view like that on children. So yes I am indeed pro life. Not pro birth. I don’t think either party cares about baby’s after they are born. But I find it hypocritical when it comes from Democrats considering they support taking away our second amendment rights, defunding the police, indoctrinating children, taking away parental rights, and won’t do shit about criminals crossing the boarder. Should I also bring up the poor education system and high crime rate in blue states? Very pro life of you. There is a reason why so many people are moving to Florida. Don’t try to act like you are any better than Republicans. Both parties are evil.

When you keep saying "anti-abortion" you have already told everyone which side you are on, and it is not the pro-life side. The more you say it the more bias it is.

@@monicajoseph3910 There is nothing neutral at all about the term "anti-abortion". That is the left's term for pro-life. Just like pro-abortionists used to like to call themselves pro-choice, but of course we all saw that pro-choice went out the window with c v d 19 and its shots, and we have also seen more evidence that there is not a stand for pro-choice when abortion lovers are burning down pregnancy centers where a choice is being made. So no, there is nothing at all neutral in this video. And if you think it's pure history then look up those numbers he said about how many died getting illegal abortions and you will see they were recently admitted to be flat out pulled from thin air. You are not correct monica, not in any form.
