Oh, and the underaged drinking episode with DJ (or the time she was anorexic for two seconds). And idk if this is what you were talking about when you mentioned someone dying, but there was that episode where Jessie's granddad died which still messes me up to this day.

I remember the child abuse one. Stephanie was still in elementary school and she was partnered with a bully of sorts. He comes over and when Danny gets upset over something, he tells her to think of something funny. It ends when he 'falls' down the stairs and misses school, and Jesse calls CPS. I distinctly remember that one.

The original "Full House" lasted eight years for one reason, above all: the network was willing to give clean(er) shows a chance back then. Most people actually prefer TV shows and movies that are innocent without being dumb...but the "higher-ups" won't listen anymore. That's why we get so many programs now, that are raunchy and only last a couple of years, only to be replaced with another of the same type. Long-running shows in that style, such as "How I Met Your Mother", are very rare apart from cable.

The only people who liked this show were coprophagists :V I've met two people so far who liked Full House, both were Germans, oddly enough. One was a middle-aged German man who was nearly sacked from work for doing something illicit on his computer, and the other was a teenage German girl who started drinking alcohol and smoking before she even hit puberty (for the record, went to school with her when I was her age). I know two people aren't enough to judge an entire audience, but I do think that these two people say a lot about the show itself.

Maybe nobody he knew thought it was funny. I liked it because it sometimes dealt with girl issues, perhaps that's why NC doesn't find it funny, he couldn't connect with it. Also I only knew Bob Saget from FullHouse first because, hello, I was only a child. And I didn't have cable back then, so there weren't many channels to choose from. Remember Married with children, how they'd have to hold up aluminum foiled antennas to watch fox? That was basically us.

+sneaky pete I've noticed something similar, when ever someone accuses someone of rape they're immediately painted as liars. Hope that clears it up! (Also it's "innocent until proven guilty in a court of law". The court considers them innocent since otherwise it can function impartially. While I don't think Cosby should be thrown in prison without trial or even really know if the accusation is true it seems plausible enough that I wouldn't attend his comedy shows/want him hanging around my mother.)

As a side, saw an interview with Saget some years back where they asked about weirdness on set because of his comedy style and he brought up that exact horse. Apparently, the reason everyone called it peppermill was because the horse constantly was walking around with a huge boner on set. To try to relieve the tension he joked about it looking like one of those long peppermill's they use in fancy restaraunts to pepper your food, so everyone on the set just started calling the horse "peppermill" and it wound up (without any context of course) in the episode itself lol

1:19 I can answer that. According to Wikipedia the show did not impress critics but Nielson families routinely put it in the top 30, just barely good enough to stay on the air. So no, it was not NOBODY watching it. It was at least 1 million households on any given airing, the finale was viewed by 24 million people, which is sad but makes sense.
