The eletric motor is under metal plate in the back, and the car RWD. There is little frunk under the boonet 😊

I have a 2022 unique i3s one of 2000 unfortunately it is not as well equipped as yours but I’m really impressed with it My wife used it and passed it onto me as you wanted a x1 with better range Won’t be selling anytime soon as it has depreciated in value massively Thanks for the video I learnt a few things

Nice overview - I bought one of the last i3S made for U.K. market in May 22 with similar spec to yours. A few comments: 1. Great car, my only big concern going forward is cost and availability of tyres for i3S where owners appear to have only Bridgestone Ecopia as a choice. You seemed to name other makes but you also seem to use smaller size on rear which I read was inadvisable ? 2. No mention of app which is pretty good and can do the pre warming/cooling of vehicle, find where you parked etc 3. I had to accept small screen due to chip shortages whereas i3S was meant to have larger screen as standard. 4. Mine only has one standard USB and no wireless phone charger but did come with Apple CarPlay. 5. This is a very efficient EV vs the bloated SUV types. 5 miles per kWh is standard summer driving, around 4 in winter. 6. Useful tip on traction control off for snow/ice. We only get a handful of snow days in London but when we did in 2022, I had a very hairy drive home on summer tyres (again not really justifiable in London). 7. I have made a small number of medium to long haul trips without incident. Selecting older rapid chargers en route means I have never had to queue as the 50 kWh max rate is too slow for the big SUV brigade.

I bought a used i3S this week which is almost identical to yours! Thanks for this video, really looking forward to discovering all of the settings and options :) Did you know the rear seats have a 90° cargo-position? The seat backs can lock in vertical position which makes it easier to carry bulky items in the boot.

Just for extra information: preconditioning the battery only works for Preheating the battery if you activate the preheating 3hours + before leaving. Otherwise it only heats the cabin. Nice car. I switched back from a ID4 to this car because... it's just a great car in many perspectives. Not perfect but nice, with a touch of character 🤙

Hello... I have a BMW I3S 2021 with 28000 km with the same equipment as the one you are traveling in. Mine has hosted the first long trip with it from Herning, Denmark and Rome, Italian via Switzerland and Austria home 4650 km. I have a question for the heat pump, about somehow getting it to run for longer than the 30 min run now, I would like to think that it could heat the car for a longer time when it is winter and when the trip later goes to northern Norway trip ❄️❄️

Nice walk around. Hope you don’t mind some stream of conscious comments I jotted down while watching. • I find it easier to use the rear seat back releases in the cargo area. • Front seat backs tilt forward to make rear seat access easier. Release lever is the large panel on the back of the head rest. • Never seen front fog lights. Then again the rears weren’t offered in the US because most Americans have no clue how to properly use them so don’t take my word. • The panels on either side of the frunk box are just cosmetic. They hide bits like the hydraulic brake reservoir. There are finger indents at the front so you can lift them off. Held in place by velcro.
